Staff was amazing! The room was great and spacious considering the age of the hotel. Some areas were worn and dated in the exterior halls but that is to be expected in an older hotel. We had a double room with a balcony facing the street which we enjoyed and didn’t mind the street noise. If you’re sensitive to loud cars I’d get an interior room. Shower pressure and AC work great, but I think it depends on the room as we had 2 rooms and the water pressure in the second room was intermittent. All in all the location was perfect for the French Quarter & our stay was pleasant. Beware parking is $50+tax a night and they do a $50 a night additional incidental deposit which will cover parking. The only option is Valet which was convenient for the area. If you’re looking to be close to Bourbon Street but without all the ruckus then this is the hotel for you.

Staff was great. The room...not so much. Multiple areas of mold on the ceiling, windows are single pane and you hear EVERYTHING from outside (even being on the third floor), mold all over the bathroom, musty.

The room was not at all what we expected from seeing pictures online. There was mold all around the tub. Also, everytime we closed the door the shutter would pop open from the inside and we would have to mess with that so you couldn’t see in our room. The bartender was rude at May Baileys. A worker walked into our friends room while she was changing. The housekeeper did not announce herself or knock at all. Also, I was charged TWICE for the stay.

The lighting is room is a little too dark, also had to request for a new iron because the old one didn't work. No microwave in room; however, you can go to the bar which is located right next door. Great and friendly staff that are very helpful. Rooms are just a little out dated but overall the location was great!

We had a do not disturb sign on door & house Keeping still walked inside while I was changing & our shower barely had any water pressure or hot water then our lights in the room kept flickering so the room didn’t have a huge welcoming feeling to it just seemed neglected . The first person who checked us in wasn’t very welcoming and didn’t give any information on our stay nor did we get our proper wrist bands or explain anything to us on how re-entry to the hotel. All the other staff on the last night of our stay was great and helped us on our wrist bands. We had paid $50 for parking which we had wished just came with our stay already since we paid for 2 nights.

We had an amazing stay at Dauphine Orleans Hotel and couldn’t have asked for a better home base in New Orleans. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the French Quarter, yet still quiet and relaxing when you’re ready to unwind. The courtyard is beautiful and peaceful, and the overall atmosphere captures the charm and character of NOLA perfectly. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made a big difference in our experience. We loved being able to walk to restaurants, music, shopping, and all the classic New Orleans spots while still having a calm, cozy place to return to each night. If you’re looking for a hotel that combines great location, classic New Orleans charm, and excellent service, this is it. We’ll absolutely be staying here again on our next trip to NOLA. Highly recommend!
