Room was nice and clean. They have a nice size pool and good outdoor space. We had breakfast inside the hotel restaurant food was really good no complaints. Decor and elevator are outdated only thing I can say negative. We would definitely stay here again

Friendly staff, easy to walk to and from. Easy to catch public transit. Could use some updating, plugs are not the best, loose so things don't charge well. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay agian.

The staff were incredibly kind and super helpful! We landed early in the morning and they were super kind about checking our luggage at 7am. They also contacted us shortly after for early check-in that we requested upon arrival. The building is super old and quirky so we had some trouble with our lock upon check-in. However, the staff at front came up with me and was able to show me the trick to working the key :) The beds are super comfortable and housekeeping is super great about replacing towels, trash, and linens. It was a super comfortable stay :)

The only thing that is ever bad is, the house keepers don’t turn the AC on after the clean the rooms. Every time we arrive it is extremely hot and takes hours to cool the room down. And then, the AC doesn’t work very well and it’s hard to keep the room cool.

The location is great and made getting around easy. The air conditioner cannot be adjusted in the room, so you have to ask the front desk to have someone adjust it. This made controlling the temp in the room challenging. Overall, good experience and would stay here again.

I prefer to stay at older hotels with more character when in the French Quarter. So I was expecting squeaky elevators (which it has), old carpet (which it has) and some paint peeling here and there (which it was). The room was clean enough, sheets were clean and comfortable, no bugs, etc. But the cleanliness of the bathroom left some room for improvement. And I’m not real picky about these things. The location was good- close enough to everything, but not loud. We were given a street view balcony which I throughly enjoyed. The courtyard and pool area were lovely as well. Overall the hotel was just okay. Nothing fantastic, but definitely not anything major to complain about. You get what you pay for and we found a super low rate. Would I stay there again- probably not- but that’s more just because I want to try several other hotels. Am I sad we booked this hotel, also no. Manage your expectations and it’ll be just fine. There is so much to enjoy about the French Quarter, I care less about my room and more about being out and about. I guess it just depends on were your priorities lie.

Great for the location and price

If you’re like us when you come to New Orleans, we are rarely in the room. This place is a bit dated when it comes to the rooms but they were comfortable. Our first room the AC didn’t work, but they were able to move us to another room. But LOL it didn’t have a phone, or working fridge, or hairdryer (which really wasn’t a huge deal). But at the end of the day, I’d rather have AC. We never got to try the hotel bar/restaraunt but did hear good things! The location was also great! There’s lots to do within walking distance!

The lobby smelled like sewage. Had to change rims three times as the carpet was soaked from a big rain and rainwater came thru the balcony doors. First valet had a major attitue, all of the other valets and staff were very nice. Parking was $55/night. Room was dirty but the bed was very comfortable. I have been staying there for years and i think that the hotel has really gone downhill

This was our second time to stay here. Hotel is conveniently located within the French quarter but yet quiet enough to be able to sleep. The restaurant within the hotel had good food and drinks and live music and staff were helpful and responsive.

Not what I expected

The fridge in my room 232 will need to be replaced, the noise from it wouldn't let me sleep so I had to turn on the AC to drown the noise from the fridge. My balcony came with two chairs and no table, staff had to remove a table from another room for me to place on my balcony. The lobby had a gasoline smell, guess that was from the parking lot. Finally, the elevators need to be inspected, they were very noisy.
