Location, location, location! Quaint hotel on Toulouse, convenient to everything in the Quarter. Great vibe, old and antique filled, but very comfortable. Every room is different, but so far our stays have been very nice. Superb staff, ready to help immediately with any issue (including neighbors partying at 3 am). Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great stay in the heart of NOLA.

The staff (and cats!) here were wonderful, but this was not for me (Solo middle-aged woman on a work trip). I thought this would be a fun spot, but the noise was insane (trucks, music, drinks, street cleaners, neighbors). The room was very worn, cold, and not very clean. The area surrounding felt unsafe in the dark. I travel often for work and have never switched (non-refundable) hotels, but I did in this case. Probably great for someone looking for a party…

Amazing hotel! Quintessential New Orleans vibe. The rooms and property are unique, and make you feel like a part of history. The pictures do not do this place justice. The staff is amazing, and the cats are awesome. Great room amenities, and beds were awesome. No negative feedback at all. Might be one of the coolest hotels I have ever stayed in- of course it's in New Orleans. Will be back!

I came back to the Olivier House this November 2025 after 32 years from my last time, when I took here a film crew to shoot two documentaries for the Italian tv. The historical building went through some needed renovation but kept his homey charm intact. The location is perfect, right in the center of the French quarter lively action. Each room has its own character, the antique furniture is exquisite and the beds comfortable. The staff is warm and courteous (including the cats!), the different courtyards feature fountains and a pool of fresh water, and you can have coffee and snacks available all day long in a cozy living room complete with a piano. No doubt I’ll stay here again next time!
