Great hotel but the elevators are a problem. Not enough for the amount of people that stay there. We had to wait forever to get an elevator to go to the lobby everyday we were there .

This was my second festive-season trip to New York, travelling between Christmas Day and New Year, and we chose Aliz Hotel Times Square for a slightly different but still central location. The hotel makes a good first impression. There’s a smart bar in reception with a restaurant just off it. We didn’t use the restaurant, but the bar worked well for early morning coffee or a late beer. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Friendly, calm, and genuinely helpful despite how busy it was. Rooms were clean and well presented. The bed was a good size and comfortable, but the room itself is compact. Once your suitcase is on the stand, space becomes tight. The en-suite was fine with a decent shower, though it’s worth asking for extra towels as the standard ones are closer to large hand towels. The rooftop bar is very good and lives up to the photos, with great views and equally good service. If possible, ask for a south-facing room and aim for at least the 20th floor for Empire State Building views. The main drawback is the lifts. At peak times, waits of 15 to 20 minutes are common. Leaving early in the morning helped, but afternoons and evenings can be frustrating. If lifts annoy you, stay lower or prepare for lift roulette. Location-wise it’s strong. About eight minutes to Times Square, ten minutes to Penn Station, and five minutes to the subway. We paid around £2,800 for two rooms for four nights including taxes. Not cheap, but Christmas in New York rarely is.

I had a fantastic stay at Aliz Hotel Times Square. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Times Square, yet the hotel itself feels calm and comfortable once you’re inside. The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed that made it easy to relax after long days in the city. The staff really stood out during my stay. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and helpful, whether it was check-in, answering questions, or offering local recommendations. The overall vibe of the hotel is stylish and welcoming, and the amenities were exactly what I needed. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Aliz Hotel to anyone visiting New York City who wants convenience, comfort, and great service all in one place.

Firstly i paid for early check in and requested a room upgrade to be able to check in at 9am. Upon arrival i was told the upgrade was only available for one day so i did not get the upgrade. Then i was told as a result the early check in i paid for would not be accomodated at 9am but will be ready at 12 midday. My expedia status should have afforded me early check in at 12 however i still had to pay for it. I then had to wait until 12 45 to get an available room. Luckily i enquired what the additional charges were because i was almost charged for an upgrade i did not get and i was required to pay a further "amenites" fee of 30+ dollars per day and a 150us deposit that should be refunded. Overall service was poor and the kids had to endure after very long flights and transits. A toddlers bed was requested long in advance and this was also not available to me. Safe to say i wont be back to aliz

Some of the staff was absolutely amazing and a lot of them shouldn’t have jobs our stay was extremely awful here do not recommend we were literally getting spit on from the top balcony and the room was not a king bed it was a queen

The Aliz Hotel was an excellent choice. All staff were very responsive to needs and helpful with questions. The rooms were well kept, walkable to local attractions and helped to make our trip a success. If ever back in NY, we will stay here again.
