Good House - Watch for Last-Minute Hidden Fees

The day before check-in, we were informed we had to pay an additional 10% of the amount we paid because VRBO " did not accurately charge us because of a discount they were running. " They told us someone else was ready to book if we didn't pay. In fear of losing the house at the last minute because nothing else was available, we unfortunately paid the fee. Better houses were available when booking in that price range, but this one fit the budget. The home is nice and clean with great location, but that practice should be looked into.
