Recently booked 2 double rooms for 3 nights for my family of 5. This trip was celebrating my 40th Birthday. We were in New York for the weekend to end our trip in the US before travelling back to Scotland. The booking was paid for in full, and I mentioned my birthday in the booking. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff member found the booking but was insistent I had only paid for one room, I provided confirmation and then it was confirmed I had paid for the two. When checking in the staff member acknowledged the message about my birthday. We went to our rooms are we were quite disappointed that our window faced a brick wall and air conditioning. The rooms were comfortable enough, I found it strange that the double beds had 3 pillows, I called to request another pillow, had to call twice as no one came, we then had to go to reception to collect ourselves. The air conditioning cover in our room was broken, it had been cable tied, however this was broke and wires exposed, not great for a 4 year old. Our toilet also blocked the first morning, maintenance fixed it whilst we were out, however opened the window and left it open, and it was very late when we returned and we couldn’t close the window, we called again to have someone come up to look at the window and waited over 30 minutes. Breakfast is mayhem…. Location brilliant!

Much Gratitude

The staff went above and beyond—truly exceptional service from start to finish. The hotel itself was spotless, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient for our trip. I accidentally left behind my brand-new iPhone, and the team was incredibly helpful in locating it and keeping it safe until my colleague and I could return from the airport to retrieve it. I’d absolutely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

Get off LIRR (JFK airport) or New Jersey Transit (Newark airport) and walk to hotel in minutes! Surprisingly quiet street although accessible to shops on 7th and 8th avenues. Breakfast included. Minutes to High Line, a beautiful walk way. B&H electronics store right around the corner. Try In Common breakfast place 4 min by walking. Room was comfortable although a little small.

Great MSG location. Couple points off.

Overall a decent hotel for the area. Perfect location for MSG events. The bellhop was the rudest hotel employee I’ve ever met. Fairly clean room and good stay overall, but for $700 a night get some new towels and shower curtains in there.

Breakfast was ok. I am a coffee drinker and disappointed they did not have half and half or more than 1 flavored creamer. Sometimes there was not coffee even available at breakfast. Housekeeping was excellent.
