My stay was great for the most part. Our room has a faulty window with allowed too much of the cold air from outside. The hotel did their best to mitigate that. Other than that our stay was great.

I loved my stay! First, the staff were so so helpful and kind. The hotel is so beautiful in the art deco style and definitely romanticized my experience. The room was larger than I expected for a hotel room in NYC and very home-y feeling. I loved the access to the bar (heads up that drinks are pretty pricey but happy hour prices are reasonable). The cafe in the morning was a great place to work from and the food and drinks were yummy and relatively reasonably priced if you’re looking to sit and have your meal there. I’d love to see it in the warmer weather when I can check out the rooftop bar as it was closed during my stay. But I was between Freehand and a chain hotel of comparable price, and I’m so happy I chose Freehand. I’d love to stay again.

A bit disappointed. We liked it the first time but this time, it was run down! Resort fee again and for what? They offered absolutely nothing , not even an in house restaurant. Called several times to ask if there was any construction going on and no one said, restaurant is closed and being renovated. Ill pass on this again.

Personal was awesome, the location was great for where I needed to be, the only issue is that the Heater stoped working, the good thing they brought us a portable and worked just fine. The only thing I would recommend them is to get better sound proof windows, that amount of noise from outside is too much, but the rest it was just a great stayed.
