My only complaint is the extremely long wait for elevators in the morning. We were on a high floor and the wait was over 20 minutes and when it did arrive it was already full of people. We gave up and took the stairs which also took a while due to other guests who had also given up on the elevators and had to carry their luggage down the narrow stairwell.

Overall our experience here was great. The room was clean and the location was everything! It’s walkable to many main attractions (Rockefeller, st. Patrick Cathedral, fifth eve, Adel’s famous halal food, and Times Square). There is also an F subway that you can take to the E subway which will take you to JFK right down the street. The only thing we dislike is the sound of the heater it’s quiet loud when you don’t set your room temp higher enough to where it doesn’t quick in that much. We were too tired to request another room we didn’t wanna repack everything so we just dealt with it. We also woke up to a screaming and floor-stomping kid at 7 am because the wall is a bit thin but I think that’s probably how all hotel rooms in NYC are. Regardless of the issues mentioned, we would stay here again if the price is right.

The hotel was clean, and you do feel safe because of the way the elevators work. However, for the amount of money we paid for the room. It was extremely small!! You basically had to go outside to change your mind!! I was very disappointed in the size of it no room at all for our luggage and no room in the bathroom to put out our amenities, overall just very, very, very, very small. As for the housekeeping, there was none!!! I asked someone for more towels and more coffee and was told no speak English! Then when I went downstairs to speak to the front desk, I was told there was nothing they could do. I tried to also add my Hilton rewards number and was told why bother I won’t get any points anyways! That did not impress me. Check-in, we stood in line for a good 30 minutes if not longer, but I will say the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly. he told us we got an upgrade to the 34th floor the only problem was the room was so small. I had to sit on top of the desk to see a glimpse out the window! That too was very disappointing! Waiting to catch an elevator is a nightmare! Especially when you’re coming from your room to the lobby, you wait forever!! Checkout was easy no issues. Best part was that it was very easy to get around time Square and other areas from the hotel you could walk just about anywhere!

Great stay at the Hampton Inn Times Square. You can’t beat the location—steps from Times Square and an easy walk or subway ride to the rest of the city’s big attractions. Rooms were clean and comfortable, check-in was quick, and the continental breakfast was perfectly reasonable to start the day. Only drawback: the elevators slow down when the lobby gets crowded, so plan a few extra minutes at peak times. Overall, solid value in the heart of Manhattan.
