Room was so tiny for two beds and four people. You had to play human Tetris to move around and with only one very small shelf between the beds, it made it difficult to spend much time in the room. While there was a decent little rack to hang a few clothes there were no drawers or storage to unpack so we had to navigate our suitcases in the room as well. The room wouldn’t go below 68 which felt more like 72. We had to turn air off and crack the window to cool it off. That of course meant hearing sirens all night and the sounds of traffic and Times Square. Also the room was extra for a landmark view. Unless the hard rock hotel is a landmark, all we could see was a few markets. Don’t even get me started on elevators. Being on a lower floor means watching full elevators open and waiting for the next one and the next one…then giving up to take the stairs. Breakfast was the only thing that set this place apart. Really good and well stocked and managed for the sheer number of people. Overall we won’t stay here again with four.

Overall great place to stay, close to time square, subway and several dining opportunities. Only bad thing was elevators were slow and most of the time full when coming down in the mornings. Give extra time when leaving in the am.

Went to NYC for 2 days and checked into this beautiful hotel and the staff was decent took the elevator to the 31st floor unpacked and went to go out sightseeing and lo and behold the elevator was broken down. The staff on the 31st floor we're not helpful and I had to call the front desk on my cell phone to let them know we were stuck on the 31st floor 30 minutes later we had to walk down 31 flights to get to the street and 2 hours later had to wait in a 20 minute line for the only elevator taking all of its guests throughout the upper floors The next morning went to the breakfast bar and the food was subpar but the coffee was good Despite the problems I would probably go back hoping that they had solved their problems because of the convenience of their location and the staff

This hotel is in a great location if you want to be near theaters and Time square. The Hotel served a nice hot breakfast seating is busy. Hotel was clean. Elevators were great, lines and wait time were minimal only exception was between 8:30-10:00 due to breakfast checkout and people getting out the door to explore. Still not unreasonable but busy. The system manages what elevator you take which makes it so easy to use with large crowds. Staff was incredibly helpful with assisting you with questions about the city, foods to try, uber and shuttle services to help you. I highly recommend this as a safe and great place to stay. Rooms are a bit small but so are most of the rooms in NYC especially around in this area. My 4 stars vs 5 stars is due to two small incidental things that might happen to anyone at any given time but the staff did make it good and resolved them both so I don’t think it is worth details as some may form unnecessary opinions. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great Hilton honors recognition, fast with bringing up anything requested. Great hearing system and lots of hot water! Clean, updated bathroom…..Terrible bed and sheets! Hard bed, sheets kept sliding off bed because they were too thin and small! Breakfast was plentiful and hot and pretty tasty, but not enough seating available for even half the people. Elevator system confusing and congested….But it was busiest time of year, so I understand….
