We were under the impression from the listing photos that there would be two queen beds in the newly updated suites- apparently there are very few rooms with two beds in the property and they were (if I’m not mistaken the desk staff member said both) all taken when we arrived. Not ideal- the room was tidy and clean and the staff did their best to accommodate us, by providing us with an extra blanket however the rooms are better suited for a couple than two non-couple travel companions. On a positive note the breakfast in the morning was good and the hotel is easy walking distance to little Italy, Fordham the zoo and botanical gardens.

We came in at 6 in the morning and got into the elevator and there was a bunch of hair and a smashed cookie. I told the front clerk about it and he didn’t seem to be in any hurry to get it cleaned. I had to add one day to my already 3 day reservation and they did not match my original price. They made me pay for the day then come back to the counter at 11:00 and check out and check into my other reservation. They also did two transactions for my incidentals hold to add up to the 125$. Kobe was for 9$ and change and the second equaled to the 125$. I have stayed at several Holiday Inn express and this is by far the biggest let down of them all. I do have photos if interested.
