We had a good stay at hotel, Mirage Brooklyn. Our room was very small, but efficient, clean, all that we needed for each night we stayed. We were fortunate to get a parking space at the back of the hotel, even though the Spaces are very limited. All the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very close to public transportation.

Stay away!

The place is terrible. It's dirty, noisy, has a terrible service at a very expensive price. They will probably not be in business for too long.

My daughter and I did not stay overnight but rather lost my money because it was so uncleanly. We asked to change the sheets because they were dirty and the request was ignored.

Hotel is next to the train track so you will need earplugs, also is not a smoke free hotel so you can smell the weed. Staff was very friendly.

Hair and stains on bedding is a dealbreaker

This hotel appeared to be newly remodeled and was generally clean. But both of our bedsheets had multiple curly hairs on them and multiple small stains. It appeared that the stains were set in (i.e., that the sheets had been washed), but the hair makes you wonder. Bottom sheets were not fitted and did not match. The rooms with two beds are 30 ft from a train, so are loud, as were the folks pounding on the door and shouting at 530am on my first night. This place was in a good location, had lots of parking spots on the street in addition to the 5 free spots on site (impossible to find in NYC). There was a convenience store right across the street to grab snacks. Subway entrance was walkable. But the hair and stains on the bedding is a dealbreaker for me.

While the property was clean, the bed size was way less than stated. The promised free parking is actually in the street, and was not available this Saturday night. Also, the location is very noisy, including at night, train and emergency vehicle sirens. Also, there was no hand soap on the sink, no tissues, only toilet paper, and no waste bucket in the bathroom, only a waste bucket in the room itself. Management was not available in the morning, as asvised.
Bed which was advertised as king.

Nice shelf for towels and shampoo, conditioner, and lotion samples.

Worst stay I've ever experienced. Mattress and sheets were thin, uncomfortable and terrible. The staff were not good either. My toilet backed up, I made a request to get it fixed, left for an hr, they came in got the water to go down and left all the tissue and waste in the toilet. I flushed it and it was still clogged. I went back to the front desk, showed the clerk pictures, the guy came back scooped the waste into the trash can and was about to leave. I had to ask him to even do that. So he remove the bags inside and walked out dripping waste and toilet water across my floor and out the door. I was getting some frustrated that they didn't know how to properly handle this situation. I then had to request housekeeping to please come disinfect my bathroom, she did a terrible job. I stayed Friday to Monday never saw housekeeping, had my trash or linen changed, or towels. Then the last night there, I took a shower at 3a. 4a I heard a gushing sound while I was laying in bed, woke up to a disgusting odor and saw that the water from the toilet came up in the shower. And it smelled like raw sewage. I felt nauseous and checked out early. I paid more than plenty higher rated places to stay here because it was closer to my destination but I'll never stay there again. I honestly want a full refund. Waste of my time and money.
