When we first arrived we were given an awful room on the 6th floor so we went back down to reception and then they changed us to a bigger more pleasant room. We asked for a kettle and a fridge a lovely man brought them for us. Did not like the fact that you could not have a bath as the bath plug had been fixed so that it did not close down properly, shower was fine but sometimes nice to soak your feet after walking in NYC! Breakfast was good at the little takeway on the corner, you can sit in and it was such good value. The Friedman restaurant was nice too and you just had to pay an extra $6.50 per person to eat in. Plus small tip. The jazz bar attached to the hotel has music every night, if you want some entertainment. All in all a Good central location. Also room keys were checked As a safety precaution by security which reassures you.

Perfect stay when seeing a show at the Marquis across the street from the back entrance. The staff was friendly and the hotel keys are needed on the elevator to get to the floor where your room is for another layer of security. Times Square is rignt is les than a block & the hotel has the classic art Deco vibes from the days of the Copacabanna which is still on the same block.

Description not accurate

Too dirty! They don’t change bedsheets. No vacuuming. The hotel is at least 1hour away from JFK airport not 23 min as mentioned on their site. The breakfast is not actually free for two. It is within the service fee. You grab a drink and a sandwich not even sit. So far, the worst hotel I have been in

This is my second stay here this summer, one in July and one in August. Both stays were ok if it was not for an employee named Christian, he was a complete jerk both stays. I wont go into details but we were treated badly by this guy. Hotel is in an excellent location, quiet and easy access to everything. If you plan on staying here avoid Christan in the front desk. All other employees were fantastic especially a guy i believe his name is Helberto.

Historic hotel with horrible customer service

This hotel is extremely outdated and doesn't take care their guests. I called the hotel a few weeks before my stay to get an airport shuttle. The hotel transferred me to the concierge, who booked the transportation. When I arrived my shuttle was not at the airport so I had to get a standard taxi. When I went to the hotel to tell them about my bad experience, not only did they have NO empathy at all but they didn't even attempt to take care of me. I asked if I could check in early to which they responded sure for $70. I told them I was stranded at the airport and was hoping they could take care of me to which they reaponded, we aren't associated with the transportation (although the transportation was coordinated through them) and they would do nothing to remedy my bad experience. The room was small and dated and clearly has not been renocated for decades. PAY A FEW MORE DOLLARS AND STAY AMYWHERE ELSE.

Beautiful Vintage Hotel! Stand were wonderfully helpful and accommodating. Bed was Very comfortable and we didn’t hear a sound at night! (You do hear the great band in the restaurant before 10pm but it’s all good! ) Free and Low cost breakfast/ brunch options are wonderful and make it easy to start your day. Walking distance to Broadway theatres, Times Square, Subway Station, great restaurants— we will return for future trips!

Staff was always fantastic and helpful. Rooms are small, bathrooms are tiny. All very clean, but very small. I’ve stayed in many hotels in the Times Square area, Edison is very convenient. In the room, there was really no place to sit except the bed. I tried to upgrade to a suite for the extra space but none was available. All in all, 4 out of 5, if you don’t need much space. Excellent access to subways, taxis, walkable to Central Park, and a plethora of great places to eat.
