The FAT girl who’s there during the afternoon shift is horrible. She lied about the maintenance fixing my heat & told me to check it after he did. He wasn’t fixed something I already knew so she switched my room !! The day I checked out some guy was being assorted out & arrested by the warrant squad for prostitution, some girl was standing by the elevator in lingerie smh

Okay where do I start??? Well I looked online before making my purchase. I pulled up all the pictures of the hotel and room online. I was able to see how nice the rooms were. I also liked the fact that online it said that the hotel provides a shuttle to and from JFK airport. I was really thrilled to make my reservation and not have to worry about a ride to and from the airport. Once I arrived and called the hotel asking them how do I get in contact with their shuttle. I was told there was no shuttle. Once I used a taxi to get to the hotel I mentioned to the owner and she kinda laughed and said she doesn’t know why they have that online. So I let that situation go and just wanted to get my day started. Once I got to my room I noticed that it wasn’t clean. The floor needed to be swept, the walls were nasty, the bathroom was also nasty as if the shower wasn’t clean ever. I asked for room service to come clean my room and was denied. I later saw a roach in my bathroom and couldn’t believe it. I asked to get a refund but was denied and told the room was none refundable. I would never recommend this hotel ever. I noticed on the sliding door the hotel was given a D for multiple violations. I am upset at Expedia and hotel pergola for even saying they are a 4 start hotel. I would like to have a refund back. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that was ever that bad. I don’t usually right bad reviews about hotels but people need to not to book a reservation through Expedia for hotel Pregola.

Find somewhere else and save yourself the hassle. No hot water, no lamp in room with only a small dim light you could barely see. Burn holes everywhere and random people in the halls. Employees tried to help but they’re too busy switching more guests out of bad rooms too.

Do NOT book this hotel. It is located on Jamaica Ave in a very rough, unsafe-feeling area. The name “Pergola JFK” is misleading because it took us 45 minutes to get there from the airport, not the 18 minutes they advertise. The hotel looks nothing like the photos and felt uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. The rooms were in extremely poor condition. There was a heavy cigarette smell mixed with an overpowering strong cleaning-supplies odor, broken floorboards, a very hard and uncomfortable bed, damaged and stained linens, torn curtains, dirty walls, mold on the bathroom ceiling, and worn, damaged furniture. There is almost no soundproofing, so you hear traffic, conversations, TVs, and doors slamming constantly. The vending machine sells condoms and the property offers hourly rates, which tells you the type of environment you should expect. At one point, a guest was in the hallway in only underwear during a loud dispute with staff. Repeated knocking on the room door continued for a long time, waking us up and making the stay even more stressful. From the moment I saw my room, I wanted to leave. The front desk staff was rude and said the booking was non-refundable. Even after showing us two more rooms in similarly unacceptable condition, they refused to let us pay for just one night and refund the rest. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Save yourself the stress and choose another place to stay.
