Not the best stay

We were so excited to stay in Brooklyn for the first time, but the Moxy left much to be desired. Check in was fine, and the room was comfortable, but we had a hard time sleeping. Our room was located on the 10th floor near a storage closet and we were met with not only the sounds from the rooftop club, but near constant slamming of doors which left us unable to relax even with a sound machine. We tried to use the rooftop twice and were denied entry due to two different private parties, so do not expect to be able to use this amenity. We ordered drinks at the bar, which were great, but then we were charged an extra $45 which we were only notified about on the summary sent to us after the stay. We have tried 2 times to call the hotel and get this reversed, but they keep forwarding our call to the bar where no one picks up. We loved the location and the view from our room, but for the price I would definitely stay somewhere else next time.

Cool Hotel - Loud on the 10th Floor

Really liked the vibe of this place. Great view of the city, a few bar options within the hotel. Hip and modern place overall in a great location. But when staying on the 10th floor, there is a nightclub above you. That was very loud until very late at night.

I love visiting NY and love the value that Moxy properties provide however I always forget that they do not have a proper enclosed full bathroom. The only time I would choose to stay in a hotel room with that layout is if I am traveling solo.

The hotel was nice and bright, and our room was very comfortable and spacious, for NY. And the staff was excellent. Very helpful and courteous. Our only criticism is that we were on the top floor and there was roof top lounge directly above us. At night, it turned into more of a nightclub with hundreds of people and very loud music going until 3:00 in the morning. Next time we stay we will ask for a room on a lower floor.
