Super friendly staff, beautiful room that was super clean. Super convenient to Morgan station subway. My only issue was a strange pungent smell in the lobby i noticed. Also, love a clean room but might want to back off floral smelling chemicals. Maybe switch to neutral smells for lobby and cleaning. Oh had a balcony with beautiful views of Manhattan

Heat was not working in the room. Staff was very responsive. We did get moved to a room with heat but did have to sleep in the cold for one night. Other than that room was clean and nice.

Hotel was run down and smelled like smoke. Smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night and when I tried to evacuate the front desk said it was because someone was smoking "too much" in their room. Walls felt paper thin - if we had noisy neighbors, it would have been a really rough stay.

Everything was right for the price I país. One thing overstood as I walked in for the first time….a strong humidity smell that was not a great welcoming. For the rest, I enjoyed my stay and the hotel has a perfect location.

This place is new, clean, and super convenient, steps from the subway, with free street parking on weekends. The neighborhood is safe and has that trendy Brooklyn aesthetic (it can look gritty at first glance, but that’s the vibe). I booked a city-view room on the 7th floor and was speechless. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the NYC skyline, I could even see the Empire State Building. Yes, you’ll hear some city sounds (sirens, traffic), but that’s typical New York and not a safety issue. I’ve stayed in Manhattan and heard just as much. Service was warm and thoughtful. I was greeted with a Halloween goodie bag (socks, candy, self-care items), such a sweet touch, and they offered complimentary drinks on the rooftop and in the lobby. I felt secure in my room with a latch and deadbolt, plus an in-room safe for valuables. Housekeeping on the 7th floor deserves a raise, the room was immaculate and the towel art in the bathroom and on the bed was cruise-ship level. The room was spacious, no, there’s not a writing desk with a chair, which it didn’t bother me at all. The bathroom is huge, it was clean, it had three dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I’m not sure why some reviews complain. If you want ultra-luxury, book a five-star hotel. If you want a stylish, comfortable, well-located stay with great views and kind staff, Nova Hotel is a fantastic choice. I’d absolutely stay again.

this experience was unacceptable from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was placed in a room that appeared to still be under construction — unfinished or exposed electrical outlets, paint splattered throughout, and a shower without fixtures. There was no phone, no safe, and no proper guest readiness whatsoever. During my stay, cash was taken from my room while I was out. When I reported it, the front desk dismissed my concern and later called to tell me that I “must be mistaken” — which was both insulting and unprofessional. I was also charged for an “early check-in” that had originally been offered as a courtesy. The entire experience felt shady and unsafe. I’ll be speaking with local police regarding the petty theft and have documented the state of the room and my interactions with staff. Guests deserve better than being placed in an unfinished room and treated as though their concerns don’t matter. I checked out early and will not be returning. I strongly recommend avoiding this property until serious changes are made in Guest Services , Maintenance, and Guest Security. I am still of course waiting to hear from any manager you can see the photos on my Google review. As a leader In hospitality I was flabbergasted.
