Liked: Staff & service
Loved the location. Staff members were very hospitable. Not crazy about accommodations—especially for the price. I understand the shared space concept; however, I prefer a sink in my room and a completely closed room vs a cubicle-like space with a secure door (the ceiling was open, could hear people sneezing, etc).
If you use the room just to sleep this place is excellent. I spent all my time out exploring so very limited time in room. Was a little noisy at times during the night but nothing major. For the cost relative to other options very good.
Definitely would stay here again as a solo traveler, it’s very convenient to get to and peaceful as a primarily silent stay. The rooms are cozy, my only drawback is the “lounge” area, which is kind of just two tables with a vending machine, but it’s efficient for if you get takeout since you can’t eat in your room.
Cabin was cozy, quiet, and clean. However, I was told that the upper floors were reserved for women and transgenders so I was completely shocked in the middle of the night to hear men shouting on the floor and passing by while women were getting ready or getting out of the shower in the morning.
Checking in was such a breeze. The staff were so helpful and kind especially with helping me get my luggage to my room. The cleanliness of the room/showers/bathrooms was spectacular. My only setbacks were getting my luggage back down three flights of stairs, the open ceilings I wasn’t aware of until getting there (would’ve upgraded to another suite if I knew, but really appreciated the earplug/noise machine and eye mask provided) and having to go down to the basement for the lounge to eat although I understood the rule, and not being able to make any phone calls during my stay. Location wise is equally fantastic: close to three different subway entrances. Close to lots of restaurants/cafes I wanted to try. Over all would recommend if you’re lightly packing and are familiar with this kind of stay!
A situation where you get what you pay for. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Earplugs are an absolute must.

This is basically a hostel with an open pod structure - you have a semi private room (locked door) but open ceiling makes noise and privacy impossible. Every door opening and closing was loud enough to interrupt sleep even with white noise. Mostly it was over priced. At maybe $100 a night it would have been fine, but at $180 it was not worth the inconvenience.
While it is / was an interesting option, there are already people in this space that are using a more interesting process - including POD.
In conclusion - over priced - even for the LES / East Village location and conceptually/practically some issues with quiet and privacy.

Location was good, not enough showers/bathrooms for amount rooms per floor
Not good too much snoring, doors closing loud loud men on floor 2 said women when booking. Workers talking loudly on phone in hallway to his girlfriend and asking Siri multiple times to call number. Not coming back
