My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Hotel Riu. Everything from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out was perfect. The staff is top notch. Breakfast was delicious. Rooms were very clean comfortable. Everything was great! We’ll be staying here again.

Our original room was not ready, there was just a mattress, no covers or anything. The front desk upgraded our room because of the inconvenience. The upgraded room had a dirty shower tub and the heat was not working so it was very cold at night.

The water was extremely (unnecessarily) hot. For those who may not have encountered certain things before, we felt that they should have been explained at check-in. This includes the need to insert your room card to activate lights in the room and the elevator.

Awful Experience

Horrible staff and deceptive marketing practices. Charged us over $500/night for a room with a king size bed but actually only gave us a full and had the nerve to claim it was a “New York king size”. Staff was also extremely rude and dismissive. TV service was awful and channels sucked. Room was small and other guest’s children were allowed to run screaming around the halls all hours. We will never book another Hotel Riu after this experience.
