I love that our room had a set of dishes and cutlery, it was so convenient for bringing take out back to the room. Also, having a mini fridge and a microwave made warming up bottles so easy. Great hotel for families, very attentive staff.

The premier suite was spacious, one of the larger rooms we’ve stayed at in over 35 years of staying at NYC hotels. There was a very comfortable and soft king bed in the bedroom, with a full clean bath attached, and a separate sitting area living space complete with sofa bed which was ok. The kitchenette was clean and sizable, complete with mini fridge and microwave, and small dining table, perfect for sitting to eat leftovers or a takeout from one of the many nearby restaurants. Room overall was clean and well-kept. Also nice was the half bath in the living space. We would definitely consider the San Carlos for future trips, it’s the perfect size for families of up to 4. Parking at the icon garage around the block was secure (across from a police station!) At $85/night. I would highly recommend this hotel, staff is very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was nice with a great staff, the only issue I had was they offered zero amenities, no coffee, no breakfast, no pool or spa, and yet changed a resort fee, not sure what we were paying for there. Other than that we liked the place and was conveniently located to hang in all the popular mid town spots.

A proper old NYC hotel. Nice helpful staff, clean room, good elevator and conveniently located. Room was “NY small” and a bit dated, but served us well as a quiet place to sleep. Mattress was definitely on the firm side of comfy. Appreciated the in-room microwave and fridge! Lots of good eating options close by, several subway lines within a few blocks. Would book it again.

We very much enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and spacious, especially for NYC, staff were super friendly, and it was quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is centrally located - easy walking distance from Radio City, Times Square, St. Patrick’s, and Grand Central. The New York Luncheonette right across the street is an excellent place for breakfast.

This property is in a great location, convenient to many attractions like Rockefeller center. The rooms and clean and decent size for a city. The bathrooms are recently updated and very nicely done. The staff was all very nice and accommodating.

The room was so so you could see the ceiling had leak damage in the bedroom and the tub was so slippery in the bathroom we also ran out of body wash and it was not replenished but the staff was friendly but the whole hotel needs to be updated. And the the car service they used let’s just say be careful they quote you one price and then when you arrive at your destination it’s not what you were quoted aside from the fact that the driver didn’t even drop us off at the correct airline. Bottom line is we probably won’t be staying there again .
