I searched and did my homework four days to find a hotel that would give us what we were looking for as far as comfort, pricing, and location. This Hotel appeared to fit all of the above, and there was a little on the higher side of what we wanted to pay, but the trade-off was location.
We ask in advance for a lower level room because I am very claustrophobic with elevators
Got there at 11:58 PM and was told sorry there's only one room and it's on the top floor 17 stories up the next day when I acquired about the possible change, I got the runaround and was told we would have to pack everything up put it in the luggage hold location and wait and see what could be done because they could not find any special mode for my reservation
The room was decent size for what NYC offers, but they really dropped the ball in the quality of the bedding. Flat pillows, and a very thin blanket. I expected a lot more quality even a duvet would've been nice. The bed itself was comfortable, but the rest of it was very disappointing.
The day we left one elevator was broken and the other one was stuck on the eighth floor, and we took the service elevator down because a nice gentleman who work there realized we were stuck on the 17th floor.
I wish I could say Janet at the front desk was nice, but she was not. She berated me over how I should've handled it and that the elevators weren't broken. That one was just not working yet the 2nd one was stuck on the eighth floor. Her attitude - awful
