A modest gem

Perfectly delightful for a weekend getaway. Hotel room was nicely furnished clean and comfortable. Limited facilities which however were perfectly for our needs. Location near Times Square and Central Park was right where we wished to be for show and easy access to dining. Staff uniformly cheerful and helpful.

Nice, but unhappy.

This is a very nice hotel, conveniently situated close to Central Park, Times Square and Le Bernardin restaurant, which is a few paces over the street. Hotels.com let themselves down by burying the fact of a $50 resort fee in the small print. A resort fee in this hotel is a blatant rip off and merely an excuse to overcharge unsuspecting customers. Leaves a bad taste. Hotels.com should do more to warn customers of this charge.

Amazing hotel in the heart of the city

From the front door to our room, everything at The Michelangelo was fantastic. Greeted with a smile, helpful front desk for easy check-in and check-out, and the room was as spacious and comfortable as you could get. We’ll definitely be back!

When my partner and I visited New York City we were booked with another hotel, which we were unfortunately disappointed with when we arrived. As we had arrived fairly late after a long travel day from the UK we decided to have a look at other hotels in midtown the next morning. The Michelangelo were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to view a room before we booked to ensure we were happy with the facilities. We loved staying with the Michelangelo - the staff were very kind and helpful, the room was clean, and well set up and comfortable. We had a room at the back of the building so although we didn't have any fun view it was always very quiet which we like. The room was spacious with lots of storage. It was a special holiday which we will always remember, especially the hotel.
