Stayed in the female dorm. There was a rave happening in the building or the next building over, and the base was thudding through the floor from 10:30 pm to 4 am. Made it impossible to sleep, even with headphones or earplugs.

Adorably decorated building. Clean bathrooms, common areas, etc. First time staying at a hostel, so pleasantly surprised. The open ceilings in the cabins were a bit rough as every little sound may keep you up if a sensitive sleeper. Bed was comfortable enough, with the cabin big enough for only one bag with some hooks for other things. Would stay again, especially considering the price.

It’s impossible to fall asleep. The old doors make a squeaking sound as they open and close throughout the night. More than 50 doors on the floor open and close constantly, accompanied by nonstop footsteps, coughing, and snoring. The air is stuffy, with no circulation. The blankets and bed smell strongly of smoke, making it hard to breathe. I was repeatedly jolted awake throughout the night, choking on the smoky blanket. No one listens to your complaints—the only response is a cold “It’s impossible,” and you’re simply pushed aside.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding My Recent Stay – Lack of Heat and Poor Treatment Dear Nolita Management and Expedia Customer Support, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent stay at your property. Despite having paid in full for my booking, I was subjected to unacceptable conditions that no guest should experience. Throughout my stay, there was no proper heat in the room. The temperature was extremely cold, yet I was only given a small black cover for my feet and had to sleep with just a bedsheet in the middle of the fall season. This was both unsafe and inhumane, considering that every guest has a legal right to adequate heat. Additionally, despite my confirmed booking and payment, I was not given a room and was instead kept in the living room area . The staff, particularly Steve, failed to notify me in advance about any changes or issues with my booking. This lack of communication caused unnecessary stress and discomfort. I want to emphasize that I returned to this property because I appreciated its quiet atmosphere. However, the rooms are extremely small, comparable to confinement spaces, and the treatment I received this time was deeply disappointing. With the amount of money guests pay, it is reasonable to expect proper heating, basic comfort, and respectful treatment. I urge the management to review this matter seriously, ensure proper heating for all guests, and provide clear communication to avoid such distr
