The Westin New York at Times Square has been my go-to-hotel for close to a decade now. Obviously, it is perfectly located for people who want to attend Broadway shows, enjoy the Times Square area, and patronize a variety of pizza restaurants and pubs. Furthermore, the hotel staff is extremely welcoming, from the bell hops and concierges to the check-in attendants and housekeeping workers. For my latest trip, I was joined by my brother-in-law and his girlfriend (both of whom had never been to New York City), and they were highly impressed with the hotel.

Super convenient to Times Square, Broadway and subway stations to everywhere. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone. Hotel was perfect! Staff was amazing. We arrived very early in the day after a red-eye flight hoping to just leave our bags. They had a room ready for us and we were able to check in immediately. We stayed five nights and I can’t think of a single negative thing to say.

Check in took almost an hour due to a long line and complications with room availability. The hotel didn’t have the room type we booked and we were instead given two rooms on floor 9 (I think it was 9th) which appeared to be a deserted, creepy, unrenovated floor with mostly conference rooms. We have stayed at the Westin Times Square before so immediately knew this was not one of their regular rooms. After another lengthy wait we were given two other rooms. We were told we would not pay extra for the additional room since the change was due to a mistake the hotel made, however, I had to visit the front desk twice due to them charging extra for the ‘free’ room they gave us. I do not know if the charges have been taken care of as the email receipt I received after my second attempt was still incorrect. Very disappointing and we will not return.

Great Location- nice hotel...but...the rooms are in need of a re-fresh. We have stayed in a lot of Westins and this one was not like the others. The concierge duped us with an excursion and booked us for the wrong day when we already had another one planned. We made it work but was very inconvenient. Hotel manager said they are not hotel employees...what? ..the bar was nice, staff was great...

There were leftover food from previous guests in the fridge. Fridge was moldy. We didn’t realize this until our last night. Bathroom had grimes. Housekeeping went in our room before 9am without knocking.
