The location was great and we would absolutely stay again. It was a very short walk to Times Square and a lot of hot spots. We always felt safe moving around the neighborhood and going in and out of the apartment. There were a few issues though:It’s two units side by side….Larger apartment: The window in the bedroom room with the king bed does not stay closed. We didn’t realize until after the first night that the window slides open from the top. We didn’t sleep because it was so loud in the room. We then discovered why. We had to close it a few times daily. The washer also leaked heavily and when used had to have towels under it. The smaller apartment did not have pillow cases and was missing top sheets. It did not have a remote either for the television.Neither apartment had wash rags either. FULL DISCLOSURE: Some of these issues we didn’t recognize until we had stayed a night and so our group just made due with propping the window closed and making sure a towel was under the washer. They placed shirts on pillows for pillow cases. So we did not contact the hosts during our stay but did contact them about these issues when we left. The host were INCREDIBLY attentive and immediately sent over washrags when they were notified we did not have any, which was the only issue we notified them about. Again, we loved the location and would stay again.

Amazing NYC trip! We were a family of seven, ranging in age from 12 to 81, and we stayed seven nights. This place was perfect for our group size because everyone had their own room and bed. It had everything we needed - well-stocked kitchens, linens and towels, extra toilet paper and paper towels, etc. Communication with the property and host was good, and they were very accommodating at check-in and check-out. The location can’t be beat - close to Times Square, all the theaters, great restaurants and bars, walkable to everything, and easy access to subway to get anywhere in the city. This was a last minute booking after our place through another rental site was cancelled a few hours before we flew to NYC. We were so lucky to find this listing available, and the immediate communication put our fears to rest knowing we had a place to stay. Thank you for helping make our family vacation everything we hoped it would be!

Perfect location for any tourist activities including broadway shows, Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square, Madison Square Garden, etc. Rooms were clean, hosts were communicative, and everything worked out very smoothly as advertised. I would gladly stay again.

Wonderful apartments in Hells Kitchen. This is 2 units with doors side by side. The larger kitchen unit has the living room, 1 full bath and 2 BRs. Those BRs are on the smaller side w a full bed in each. The other unit has the smaller kitchen (still fully equipped), four BRs (2 full, 1 queen, 1 king), the dining table and 1.5 baths. The 2 BR unit got warm (even in February), but there’s a lot of fans to use. There’s a k-cup machine in each unit and even a French press. There’s also a W/D in each unit (the 2 in 1 kind). Our host was incredibly responsive. We had plenty of towels and sheet, but a spare blanket or 2 would have been nice. There was an air mattress in one of the closets we didn’t even need. Also hair dryers, iron and ironing board. The only thing I can think of was another roll or 2 of TP and some dish towels for the kitchens. Please also note the pipes in the 2 BR apt were incredibly hot to the touch - those with children should be aware. We couldn’t figure out the TVs, but never had much downtime to even watch. I’m so thrilled we found these units and highly recommend.

This apartment was a perfect place for our family of 10 to stay and celebrate our dad's 80th birthday! It is so close and convenient to everything! We were greeted upon arrival and our host was available if needed, but it was all so perfect and clean that we didn't need any assistance during our stay. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Our host, Raul, was accommodating and accessible. Edison, from housekeeping, was top notch, The property itself was terrific and met all of our needs. However, we were a product of the property switch from another vacation rental site to VRBO and dealt with Juan. Juan promised things for the inconvenience that never came to fruition. And never respond to multiple text messages sent to him. He was most disappointing. If it were not for Juan this review would have received a 5 star.

Great location. Grocery and coffee shops nearby. Clean units. 2 separate units. Futon needs to be replaced. Not comfortable at all. It's the only living room area between both units. One window has a fork holding up the curtain rod. There was a sheet for a curtain. Rooms in one of units are dismal with gray comforters Tissue stuffed around a window for insulation...maybe? No hand or dish towels. As for the shampoo that was provided. It was head and shoulders dandruff shampoo. The only hair dryer looks like and works like a travel size Goodwill bargain bin. I wouldn't consider this a "gem" by no means, but if you want a great location this is it. These units need some attention. Maybe I'm a detailed oriented person.

We didn’t have a great stay. The property was 4 blocks from where it said it would be. Some members of our party complained because many of the bedrooms were small and had little external light. Others suffered because the noise from 9th street made sleeping almost impossible. There was very little love put into the furnishings and the host communications. There was very little space for gathering because the apartment is split in two and most usable space has been turned into bedrooms. There is a washer but no dryer and not even a drying rack. It wasn’t the worst place…my comments make it sound worse than it was. I just think for the price if we did it over we’d get 3 or 4 rooms in a mediocre hotel and be happier.

If you are looking for a true New York City experience, this place is perfect for you. The location is great, right in a very well stocked neighborhood. Anything you could possibly want is with a few blocks, no more than a 5 minute walk. Times Square and all the trains were about a 10-12 minute walk. As for the inside, it is two separate apartments on the third floor, right next to each other. This ended up being tricky for our party of 12, as all of us could never be in one room at the same time, which kind of defeats the purpose of getting a rental rather than a hotel room. This place would be most ideal for maybe families who travel together, but want their own space. Between the two places, the kitchens were well stocked, the beds were decently comfortable (minus the futon) and there were plenty of towels for showering. There is also a washing machine in each of the units, if needed. The host had good communication prior to check in, and was present upon check in. Overall, it was a good experience.

Great location, easy walking to midtown and subways. Many great eating establishments nearby. Down side is that, being two apartments for our group of 10, there was no one place big enough for all 10 of us to gather to eat, socialize, etc. Sleeping arrangements were fine though, as there were more than enough bedrooms to accommodate.

Great proximity to everything in Manhattan

Awesome location! Outstanding 2-apartment setup!!!

Our party of seven thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was actually two apartments adjacent to each other and it worked perfectly for us. The two flights of stairs are manageable and we never felt unsafe entering or exiting the property. Despite a small miscommunication at the beginning of the trip upon check-in, the host went above and beyond to ensure things were made right. Text messaging during our stay was on-point and we sincerely enjoyed our stay. It was our family’s first visit and stay in the city and the location did not disappoint. It was really nice being walking distance from Times Square and close to the metro stations. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby that we never went hungry. Check out process was flawless. We would definitely consider staying at this host’s properties again!

Very nice family stay

The property is almost exactly as advertised. For the location, it has enough space, but wouldn't call it spacious. However, the property was clean, nice, and the hosts were easy to work with. Location is hard to beat, if you want to be around the tourist hot spots. Would recommend for large groups.

Great Lication and Accommodating Staff

This is a walk up with two flights of stairs. The location is very conveniently located just 5-10 minutes to the metro or Times Square on foot. The beds are comfortable, and a full kitchen stocked with dishes in each side of the unit is a real plus. There were a few dust bunnies upon arrival, but the staff was quick to spruce up and provide the extra towels and bedding that we requested. We’d come back here again.

Property for large groups

This property consisted of two apartments that share a wall - one unit had two bedrooms and the other had four bedrooms which accommodated our group of 13 people perfectly. Host and their property manager were very quick to respond to any questions we had. We arrived in NYC with temps in the upper 80’s with 74% humidity which was a struggle for us west coasters. One bedroom didn’t have A/C or a fan so we contacted PM and before days end we had a brand new fan - so appreciated. PM met our party at the unit to hand over keys. Maybe a second set of keys for each unit would be handy for large groups wanting to go in different directions. Hard to find affordable lodging for large groups in NYC and this met our needs perfectly. Easy walking distance to Times Square and USS Intrepid. Excellent property.
