Location is excellent and the staff is also amazing and super helpful. The only downside is the shared bathrooms, they urgently need renovation. The doora of the loo do not close. The bathrooms are terrifying.

The room was perfect. Bathroom could be cleaner but it worked. Night was cold and heater didn’t work, only 2 thin blankets. Pillow was terrible! Plastic? Bedding needs some work. Very safe though- didn’t ever feel vulnerable. Man at front desk was very friendly.

Just a bed to sleep in, showers are clean, but the most terrilbe showers and toilet experience. Spend your money else where please. if it was $40 a night, i wouldnt be so harsh, but it wasn't.

Six years ago, we stayed at this same place, and it was a very pleasant experience, and we expected that this time, but it didn't happen. The reception staff were unfriendly and overly serious when it came to welcoming tourists. Even from what we noticed while we were waiting in line, only the baggage handler was very friendly. The bathrooms were awful, smelly, and poorly maintained. The room had a table that looked like it had been pulled from the garbage. The waitress reminded us up to three times, around 9:30 a.m., that we were checking out that day, until I angrily reminded her that our checkout was at 11:00 a.m. Unfortunately, before this, I had always recommended that the YMCA was comfortable, hygienic, and worth the money, but they let us down.

I have a walking stick and asked them to think about that when allocating my room. I was given 8th floor and room was farthest away from lift and toilets -!they just didn’t care and the $30 they ask for on arrival is not mentioned when booking the break.

Budget lodging near Lincoln Center The M7 and M11 stop at the corner on Broadway. There is no restaurant in the buildlng. I stayed in room 824. The safe was large enough for a 13-inch laptop. The television linked to news. There was an attractive mirrro. The bed was uncomfortable. There was no sheet. The mattress was lumpy. I had trouble finding any position for sleep. The chain lock was missing a bolt; it could not be locked.

Great location close to subway, Central Park and Broadway. Gym and pool were fabulous. Reception staff were very helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are older, often things didn't work eg lamp or no chair in the room and the bathrooms were cramped.

The “deluxe” rooms are nicer than their standard rooms with shared bathrooms that are a series of standalone bathrooms which you can use with privacy: in other words not the dorm like / gym locker room like bathrooms in the non-deluxe rooms

While I didn't mind the facility and I was only there for very short time, I could tell that the building was getting old as in how the room condition was on the walls and how squeaky things can be and how shower was easily overflowing and causing a puddle....etc. Also, unfortunately there was some strong odour coming from one of my neighbours, I really don't know what it was! Im not sure if it was some kind of food like how some pickled vegetables and items like that, certain foods like durian or fermented foods can have a very strong odour depending, it could have been an odour from someone that was unsanitary...I really don't know. However, that would be my only complaint. The staff were nice and helpful, I don't have complaints around that.

Deceitful surcharge!!!

I have stayed there many times before but this time they insisted on a $10 a night cash surcharge when none was mentioned in the Hotel.com reservation. This is so wrong. I think is very deceitful. I am trying to see if it is against the law.

Room is good but pillow is very uncomfortable. Three bathroom stalls but only one closes, three shower stalls but only one has decent pressure. One night I had to shower with no hot water. Front desk won’t call you a taxi and you have to pay $4 dollars per bag for them to keep it if you come early for check out
