Our vacation at Moon Palace Jamaica coincided with Hurricane Melissa, and we were absolutely blown away by the staff's response. You see a resort's true character in a crisis, and Moon Palace is world-class. The management was incredible, immediately offering all stranded guests a significantly prorated extended rate. This took away so much financial stress. During the storm, they kept us safe, well-informed, and provided three hot meals per day for everyone. They even organized entertainment to keep our spirits high! The most amazing part was the staff. These wonderful people had their own homes and families to worry about, yet they showed up and served everyone with genuine smiles and professionalism. Their kindness was humbling. As soon as the storm passed, the cleanup effort was unbelievable. The team worked tirelessly and had the resort looking beautiful in no time. We are so grateful to the entire Moon Palace team for turning a potential disaster into a safe and caring experience. We will absolutely be back!

Unfortunately, due to the natural disaster due to the hurricane at hit Jamaica. I did not get to experience my stay in my room for two nights. There was No AC and No Wi-Fi. The ceiling roofs were coming down, putting others in danger. The shelter they put us in was on the bottom floor that eventually a fire was caused and the air of the smoke you started to breathe in was hazardous. I had 400 credits that I couldn’t even use or get back and the staff wasn’t even willing to accommodate me. Moon palace was overcharging during this hard time and due to them not having air conditioning in room they originally charged me for they had me move to another room, they charged a extra fee on top of that! Very disappointed, long hard sad vacation

When I arrived at Moon Palace, it felt like the start of a great relationship. You know charming, promising, saying all the right things. The food was surprisingly good for a mass-production buffet, and the Asian restaurant with the hibachi grill was a highlight. Chef Lemor was a class act. My kids loved the arcade and activities; everything felt easy and enjoyable. But like some relationships, it turned at the end. At checkout, we were told we could still enjoy some amenities before leaving. But once our wristbands were cut, the warmth disappeared. I went to grab a quick bite at the pizza bar and was met with, “Have you checked out yet? Then you can’t eat here. Only the buffet.” No empathy, no “sorry for the confusion,” just a blank stare as other guests looked on. It wasn’t the rule itself, it was the tone. The sudden shift from valued guest to outsider. It’s like telling someone, “I need a break, not a breakup,” and they instantly turn cold. Rules are fine, but communication and kindness matter too. I gathered my kids, took our quiet walk of shame, and thought, I like my own house anyway. Moon Palace, you had me at hello… but you lost me at checkout.
