Likes ——— Very good location Amazing breakfast - one of the best I’ve ever seen Asked for a quiet room and was given just that Very good gym Lovely powerful tropical shower Dislikes ———— The pillows we were given were terrible. Basically 4 small cushions. They made sleeping very difficult. In hindsight I should have probably asked for an alternative but I assumed this was the standard throughout the hotel. This rather ruined the stay for me as I didn’t sleep well on any of the nights.

We stayed at the Thon Rosenkrantz for 4 nights. From the moment we were met by a very pleasant and helpful Aksel at the front desk, to our beautiful room on the 8th floor, to the outstanding breakfast service, both food and staff, and the most delightful and caring housekeeping staff member throughout our week, we enjoyed the hotel and all of the staff immensely. The location is great. The Thon Rosenkrantz is a truly outstanding 5 star hotel.

Thon Rosenkrantz is centrally located in the city. It was an easy walk to everything. The breakfast layout is incredible, and the gym is nice. Highly recommend this hotel.

This place is better in person than expected from potatoes. Great coffee and carbonated water in the lounge. The included breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we had on our European vacation. All staff are very friendly and helpful. If you’re a light sleeper, don’t get a room facing the street as there a few pubs right there and you can here the people having ag good time even through the double paned windows even on the 5th floor. It seemed to stop about 1am. Would definitely stay here again

Great location in downtown Oslo, quiet and spacious rooms, modern bathrooms, excellent friendly and vey helpful staff, very nice kitchen with great breakfast buffets and dinners 👍 Complimentary filtered water and coffee/tea are available 24/7 in the lobby and on the 8th floor lounge, this is an awesome perk 🙂

Except for the loud noise from the bar across the street until 4:00 am in the morning, the hotel is great. The breakfast is especially great and the Philippine waitress were fantastic.

A+ nice clean room plus amazing breakfast buffet!

We arrived at check in travel weary from a 14+ travel day arriving at 22:00, the warm and kind welcome at check in was a good indication of how wonderful our stay was. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The star of the show is the breakfast buffet, my children said it was one of their highlights of the entire trip! The staff was above and beyond kind and accommodating. Will book another room with this company again soon!

Absolutely Marvelous

Our stay was nothing short of marvelous. The room was quiet, spacious, and welcoming. It was a bit confusing as to how we could adjust the room temperature, but we were just fine. It sounds minor, but it’s absolutely not: there were a lot of electrical outlets. When charging phones and other electronics, this is a big deal. Breakfast was out of this world! Selections, service, atmosphere… it was all first class. Kudos especially to the gentleman making the eggs and bacon… so friendly and jovial. A big disappointment was having to check out and leave so early in the morning (5:30) to catch our train, but the gentleman at the front desk provided us with takeaway bags with sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, and juice! A very helpful start to the day. We enjoyed the rooftop lounge a couple of times, just to relax and enjoy a snack. So relaxing after a full day of exploring Oslo. This is on my short list of spots to suggest to friends visiting Norway. Skål!

Excellent except for the room

We rated this only a 3 mainly because of the room. It was not just small but not well thought out. No bureau but a rather large wooden piece for an ironing board and iron. No mirror except in the bathroom and no toiletries. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel spotless and the breakfast outstanding.
