We are so happy to have stayed here during our trip to Japan. Our room had traditional Japanese style qualities and the private onsen was amazing. We had a beautiful view of the lake, everything was clean, wonderful service, and delicious fresh food all included in our stay. It was a truly relaxing and luxurious experience. We hope to stay here again!

I love the staff so much! Super kind, optimistic, and happy people. The amount of different onsens they have are really awesome with an amazing view! You can get a 9 course dinner, and the breakfast is really filling too. I highly recommend getting your private onsen if you have tattoos since they dont allow them in the public onsens. If you have a small one, you have to cover it up. Would definitely come back again:)

Loved our stay! We had the private onsen which was amazing but the public ones are great too! Our dinner was a lovely event and the beers and ice cream was a great touch. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend! It’s not far away from Kyoto, about 20min or so on the train.

We had a great experience staying at Yumotokan. The dinner was exceptional (very filling!) and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The variety of onsen baths was great, each one unique and beautiful. The futon beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Loved our stay and would highly recommend to other travellers hoping for a ryokan experience that isn’t breaking the bank!

Lovely onsen stay

Lovely relaxing stay. We booked the Hanare Karoi luxury twin with its own private open air onsen. It was much needed after all the walking so far this trip, we didn't need to go to the larger public baths on the other levels. They provided a shuttle bus from Ogoto Onsen station. The service was great from check in, to the staff at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The private lounge and unlimited Haagen Dazs icecream, drinks and juices was a really nice touch. We really enjoyed the dinner and breakfast in our own private dining area, with each dish intricately prepared and presented beautifully, the service was very attentive.

Family trip to enjoy onsen hotel

Very nice hotel with private onsen in the room. The half board is also good. I would recommend to stay there for a visit.

Incredible stay! The ryokan experience was unforgettable – a memory for life. The staff was knowledgeable and respectful. The public onsen views were stunning, plus there’s a private onsen option for a fee. The free shuttle to and from the train station was super convenient. Highly recommend!

Area of hotel is in Den Den town so lots of options for food and shopping. About 15 minute walk to Namba station and 25 min walk to Dotonbori. Stayed in the room with the computer's, would recommend if you're planning on gaming all night. Computers arent really fast but it does the job. Vibe of the hotel is a bit dingy and not entirely the same as the photos but for the price its a really nice stay.

This was more of a 5 star hotel than 3. dinners were full course meal made by the chef at the ryokotan (so much food even me being american couldnt eat it all), buffett breakfast had a large variety of foods.
