Very charming, clean, spacious
What was lacking - No hot water, the safe did not work, the pillows were terrible ( all guest should have 2 pillows) Checkin was not easy especially when you're not from a European country and you don't know how to you use the different phone number here.
We stayed, a family of 4 at this Hostel for one night. Great location. Self check in and out but emergency number is provided if you need anything or have questions. The reception order my taxi as well. Room are very clean and safe as this was very important to us. Beds comfortable and rooms spacious. Highly recommend this place.
We just stayed for one night and it was a positive experience - everything was as expected and comfortable! Nice to be centrally located in Palma to walk around and explore.
Great location close to Plaza Espana and short pleasant walk to Plaza Mayor.

We stayed for one night. Great location, easy check-in & a spacious room. The room was a little tired in places & the aircon didn’t work properly so not sure it was worth the price we paid.
We were only allowed to pay the City Tax using a credit card - we were told at Reception that we could not pay in cash. This created a ridiculous situation whereby our bank charges for the foreign exchange transaction will cost us more than the actual €2.20 we had to pay.
There was a lot of noise from the restaurant below.
The room was small, and the shower room very small.
However, the location of the hotel is excellent, and the rooms were clean and modern.

Room 104 which I had for 9 nights unlike some other rooms did not have privacy as the main window opened on to a rooftop courtyard. I had to leave curtains closed. It also had strange spaces, staircase upstairs with no handrail and a shower that had been disconnected and 2 largesteps into and out of the room. Shhets were not change in 9 nights. Staff were not friendly except for nice Nigerian cleaner. Positives, quiet and great location.
Stayed with my family only for one night, we had two adjoing rooms, that were large and well equipped. A nice simple hotel, very centrally located and with helpful staff member on hand (part-time).Has automated check-in which could phase some people.
Was super clean and right in next to the middle of the city! Great location.

Good location but some glitches
Very nice staff friendly and helpful but a lot of little glitches . since my name on my passport does not match exactly with the name of my credit card the automatic machine would not accept my credit card and the receptionist had to do things manually. When I arrived at the property the toilet seat hinge was broken and there are other little details like no shelf in the shower on which to put anything and a sink that is so tiny trying to wash my face water gets all over the floor.
The mattress was comfortable but the bed frame was quite wobbly. Sleeping alone was ok but if another person had been with me it would not have been pleasant when someone turns over during the night. Overall an ok experienced . Sophia at the reception desk was extremely nice and answered my questions. And got the toilet seat fixed but it took 2 days to get a repair man to the room
Housekeeping was quite variable. One day they did not do a good job cleaning but the other two days were fine.
If you stay at this hotel make sure you check in between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. when someone is at the reception desk . otherwise if you have problems you will need to use your cell phone to contact them for assistance
My experience with Hostal Regina was a nightmare - the worst booking in over 30 years of travel to Europe. In January 2019 I booked a non-refundable 4 night stay in May 2019. I always book in January for European hotels in May due to the popularity of places like Mallorca for that time of year. I arrived at the hotel, confirmed that my booking was in order, that the room was ready and provided my passport as requested. The check in clerk fumbled on her computer for 15-20 minutes before I politely asked if I could have the key to my room as I had been traveling since 4:30am. She refused. She said she wanted to call her boss. After another 15 minutes on the phone I again asked for the key to my room. She again refused without providing any reason. I told her if I didn’t get the key I would need to call the police as the hotel was stealing; the hotel had my non-refundable money but was refusing to give me the lodging I paid for. She again refused to provide the key. The police were called. They spoke limited English. The police spoke to the owner by phone and then told me the owner wanted me to leave the hotel and stay elsewhere. I complied. All hotels in the area were fully booked. After several hours I found another hotel that charged over twice the rate of my non/refundable booking. This matter will be resolved with hotels.com one way or another. But I feel duty bound to advise others who are thinking of staying at Hostal Regina of this experience.
If this is your budget then book right now! it is just fantastic for what it offers and is perfectly situated close to buses, the train station and an easy walk to all the best sights in town. I do not hesitate to recommend this place 110%. The reception staff went out of their way to help me - thank you.
