Rooms excellent, all fresh and new, great bigger than king-size bed. Restaurant staff were wonderful, meals great. Why is a decent coffee extra at breakfast? We dislike coffee from urns. Cereal bowls toooooo small. A big thank you to the staff for wonderful service in what must still be trying conditions as outside of building is maintained and repainted. Bonus is that work men only start at 9am. No doubt grounds and road markings will be redone after work on building completed.

Arived for 2 pm booking room not ready till 3.. Went for a drink no Coca-Cola as a mixer Order the advertised coffee and muffins...no muffins. Drink bar unattended Had to look for staff on several occasions. Looked out window to see nothing but scaffolding. Very disappointed would never recommend.

Price was great but hotel is under heavy renovation. Twin room was actually a double room so they moved us to a so called suite which was actually an old tired motel unit. Only real good thing was the low price. No mention when we booked that the hotel was under renovation

Always enjoy my stay. Huge renovations with minimum interruption to improve guests stay. Would be great to upgrade T.V’s to include Netflix. That’s my personal opinion.

Beautiful View and Enjoyable Stay

An enjoyable stay in Palmerston North Copthorne. However, the renovations in part of the hotel had the room smelling of paint for some of the evening. There was also no clear signage at the entry to welcome us in through the construction area. It would have been nice to have some acknowledgement of the renovations which the staff seemed to pretend were not happening. Even with some noise and disruption there were no signs excusing the work or impact. The room was clean & comfortable with one notable exception. The top bed sheet had someone's blood stain on it. Possibly from a previous occupant, or maybe how the sheets arrived from their laundry service. To the hotels credit, this was rectified immediately when we found it (at 11pm). Despite these two issues we enjoyed our time and the wonderful view.
