Didn’t give it 1 star, but feel like that I could have. I expect more out of a Hampton and this did not meet the mark. The furniture was dirty and stained. Didn’t feel safe to sit on the couch so didn’t. Stains in walls. The refrigerator ran super loud and stop making the noise. Carpet had stains, elevators stunk, even the chairs in the lobby were stained. The bathroom seemed clean enough and I felt safe in that. The common spaces by elevator had dirty towles laying around for the better part of a day and I wasn’t there much. Vacuums left out in hallways, empty hotel lotion bottles. Overall, it felt like Motel 6 quality. I no longer trust the Hampton Inn brand.

Housekeeping is done every two days and not everyday, which I see as a way for the hotel to use fewer workers than being environmentally friendly. Even the front desk only has one person even during check-in and checkout rushes. The hotel vibe itself is very depressing -- lighting is antiseptic, breakfast area utilitarian, bar depressing, rooms meh. Which is why it is the cheapest one right next to the convention center.

The comforter had stains. The ironing board's top cover (on which cloth is put to iron) was coming out. There was also no cushion between the top cover of the board and the ironing board, which meant whenever I ironed, the lines of the board were reflected on my shirt. There were only two bottles of water as complementary perks. When I asked for more (on the same day), they said only two.

The young woman at the front desk was very nice, but there should have been two staffed there. My room was very clean and in good condition, but there were some areas of the lobby and halls that weren’t as clean.
