First Timer LOVED it

It was my first stay at Motto and I was very pleased. It was spotless as well as well laid out. And I liked the intimacy of the public areas. Even with multiple bars and restaurants, everything felt warm and welcoming. And I want to give the woman behind the desk at check in at 10:30 Sunday night a great review for her friendliness.

Hotel check in was quick and easy, parking lot is opposite to hotel. Nice clean rooms, little smaller but that maybe due to downtown.onsite cafe has good coffee and breakfast. Not able to eat at onsite restaurants as they were close on Sunday.

Clean/nice staff. Both restaurants were nice, very informal. Room was really, really tight; we had a queen room. Two bars, but both with the same, limited menu and both super casual. Breakfast/morning snack stand at the entrance was clean, but limited in food choices. Lobby was more like just a hallway with a desk, so that was underwhelming.

The Motto has a very modern look with Mexican flair in its restaurant and lounges. The rooftop lounge had great views and with the windows open, it gave an open air feel to the Rittenhouse Square area. When greeted by the staff, we were informed of a fine arts fair at Rittenhouse Square. It was a wonderful experience and only two blocks away. The neighborhood felt safe and during the day, numerous people are walking around, with joggers, people with baby carriages and dog walkers. Overall, our experience was great, and I would highly recommend The Motto for your center city experience.

Amazing design. I loved it. It made me really think about all that wasted space in most hotel rooms. Everything I needed was there. Bathroom was huge. Just no wasted space. All you do in a hotel room is sleep. Why pay double for extra space when you're just going to sleep there overnight. All hotels should be like this.

When I got the room it was clean and tidy, but for the rest of my stay I only received new towels and the room was not cleaned nor the bed made. When I went to the front desk to complain about it, I was told that they do not tidy and clean the rooms during guests' stays, only change the towels.

My visit with Motto Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, was extraordinary. The hotel itself is beautiful — superbly decorated, maintained, and staffed. The lobby is fabulous with a cafè, restaurant, and lounge area. Every front desk attendant during my stay consistently went above & beyond. . . The rooftop restaurant served fabulous tapas & cocktails as well! My room was quiet, comfortable, and elegant. The hotel is in close, walkable proximity to Rittenhouse Square Park, several shopping districts, museums, and upscale restaurants. There is plenty available for everyone! When in Philadelphia, Motto is a must. I will certainly return. Thank you all very dearly for such a generous stay.
