This was a great stay & I would recommend to others. We were welcomed with delicious mango juice during check-in and that just set the tone for the rest of our stay. Friendly and super helpful staff. The breakfast was amazing and different everyday. Every need and concern was addressed and fixed. The location was also close to everything. About a 8 min walk to the beach and 15 min walk to Bangla and the mall. I will definitely stay again when I return.

Upon arrival I was asked to pay 1000 Bhat deposit this is a hidden cost. Make sure you read all the small print and open all the tabs on the booking app. The room was right at the back of the hotel next to the lift. I did not get any quality sleep at all. The room had an old camp bed which was supposed to be a sofa, broken balcony chairs, a toilet seat that did not fit. The corridor floor just outside the room was constantly wet due to leaks/rain. I was given absolutely no instructions upon check-in, staff were more concerned about the 1000 bhat deposit. Inside the room there is a menu book which listed room items down to drinking glasses etc with prices we had to pay if we broke anything. It was such an awful stay for me. The actual hotel does not look like the pictures advertised online. I would say this hotel was more like a 1/2 star based on the room I stayed in, facilities and customer service.

Breakfast was fantastic. Great options every day. Service of our room was exceptional with cleaner very flexible and quickly attended to any requests. The pool was very disappointing and doesn’t reflect the online views. The grounds/garden between reception and the rooms are in need of a major upgrade. Overall, the property is in need of an overhaul but the staff could not be faulted and are a great asset to the hotel

Dear Hotels.com, I suggest that you un-list this hotel from your site. It has huge management problems. There are 2 kinds of hotels: 1) The ones that enjoy to have guests and care for them. 2) The ones that consider guests to be a problem and prefer they were not there. The Lunar Patong is the second option.

I was not happy with hotel or staff. Communication and trying to speak to staff in English was difficult at most times. Food ( breakfast all I ate) very average and basic. We had to move room as there were bugs in our bathroom and our classic pool access room, well pool had nails, rocks and debris from renovation on upper level. Very dangerous, I complained every day was not given access to hotel manager until after several days. As I booked this via Expedia and paid hotel directly I was unable to move hotel without loosing my money so was unfortunately made to stay a be unhappy. I did call Expedia and they tried to call hotel without success. Hotel denied they tried to call… My overall experience was poor and made my holiday experience not what I had planned after going to relax and distress. Hotel after several complaints would not even consider refunding remaining days for us to move after several requests. Nooooo customer service.
