Ground Floor: Open plan living/dining room (SMART TV, WiFi). Kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher). Double bedroom (A/C). Shower room. Twin bedroom (A/C) Outside: In-built barbecue with summer kitchen and covered dining terrace (washing machine). Sun terrace. Poolside shower. Fully enclosed grounds with lawn. Private parking. Private swimming pool (8m x 4m) accessed via Roman Steps.
Set amongst the fields and meadows of the Pollença countryside, Can Roig is welcoming, bright and airy throughout. Lovingly cared for by a small team of local gardeners and maid, their attention to detail is key in ensuring that visitors are comfortable, have a memorable stay and are eager to return.
Beneath a spacious beamed terrace, a sturdy wooden front door opens to reveal a cosy, open plan living/dining area with SMART TV, with breakfast bar linking a well-equipped and recently renovated American kitchen.
An ornate wood burner sits proudly in one corner, adding a splash of character to the homely scene whilst views from the windows reveal the dramatic outline of the Sierra Tramuntana mountains.
Beamed ceilings in both bedrooms add yet more character whilst a modern bathroom blends nicely with the subtle influences of traditional Mallorca discerned by the colours and fabrics chosen for the décor - a perfect option for a couple or small family getaway.
The main magnet within this congenial abode has to be the spacious exterior. Mature shrubs, olive trees, mini-cypresses and neatly trimmed hedging enhance privacy around the pool which is bordered on one side by a well-kept lawn - just perfect for a game of Frisbee. The pool affords stunning views across the Colonya Valley towards the Puig de Maria, with a superb adjacent summer kitchen consisting of wooden beams, swinging rustic lanterns, a long solid wood table and brick built barbecue, setting the scene for warm, together evenings in a relaxed, carefree ambience.
From its ideal location popular northern coast beaches such as Port de Pollença and Playa de Muro are just minutes away, as are the enchanting medieval towns of Pollença and old Alcúdia, where weekly markets, street cafes, tapas bars and fine dining all have their place nestled amongst the narrow cobbled streets. Other nearby attractions include a water park, a fun cross country train in to Palma City or a round of Golf on a choice of three excellent courses. Days can be as fun packed or as lazy as you wish, evenings offer a wide spectrum of fine dining, casual tapas or dining in making the most of the fabulous barbecue.
Each member of the family is certainly catered for in this rural home from home.
