Ground Floor: Open plan living/dining room (A/C, TV, DVD, WiFi) with doors to covered seating and dining terraces. Kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher). Two twin bedrooms (A/C). Bathroom. First Floor: Open tread stairs to double bedroom (A/C). Bathroom. Outside: Utility room (washing machine). In-built barbecue with covered dining terrace. Shaded seating terrace. Poolside shower. Table tennis. Lawn. Private parking. Private swimming pool (9m x 4.5m) with ladder steps.
Located in the popular area of La Font, El Figueral enjoys a surprisingly ‘rural setting’ considering its close proximity to Old Town Pollença. Offering the freedom of walking into the bustling town without having to search for somewhere to park or decide who’s going to be designated driver, the well-balanced blend of Rural/Residential clearly earns this attractive abode some extra points for location, as an array of local craft shops, boutiques, coffee houses and fine dining options are all just minutes away.
The refreshing pool, encompassed by a well tended lawn with small pergola for additional shade, is the first port of call for most. A brick-built barbecue stands to one side of a large covered front terrace, with wooden beams, stone cladding, wooden shutters and terracotta tiles converging to create that typical local scene of rural Pollença. Here an exterior dining area and comfortable seating have been placed in acknowledgment that this is where the majority of holiday time will be spent, this niche will bear witness to many warm evenings of sizzling suppers on the grill, the chinking of glasses bubbling with chilled Cava and the sighs of contented occupants simply relaxing in true Pollença laidback style.
Inside, furnishings are comfortable and unpretentious, as the wooden beams and terracotta tile theme continues to flow throughout. An open plan lounge/dining area and separate kitchen both have doors opening out to the terrace and garden, whilst an open tread staircase leads to the upper floor where wonderful views can be enjoyed from the window of the double bedroom, overlooking the Tramuntana mountain range that runs along behind.
The choice of sandy beaches and coves along the island's northern coast is as abundant as it is varied, Cala San Vicente and Port de Pollença are the closest (7km), however exploring a little further afield is certainly generously rewarded. Golf courses, a water park, wine tasting, local markets, mountain trails, magnificent valley scenery and a network of local buses to help explore are all within easy reach from El Figueral, offering far more options of things to do than anyone could possibly fit in during just one visit.
Air conditioning usage (12 hours per day) is included in the rental rate. This property has an open tread staircase.
