This lovingly restored traditional Mallorcan country home revels in an enviable location just 5 minutes by car from the winding back streets of historic old town Pollença and the heart of the town’s surprisingly sophisticated bar and restaurant scene whilst 10 minutes to the popular shores of both Cala San Vicenç and Puerto Pollensa beaches.

Nestled in well-established Mediterranean grounds providing a lush natural haven, you are surrounded by an abundance of wild nature. Towering shrubs, wild grasses, clusters of palms and ancient olive trees fringe the pool terrace, offering privacy and seclusion alongside mountain views of Puig de Maria with its 14th century monastery perched defianty on top. C'an Pontarro retains its rural heritage and natural landscape setting perfecly. Relaxing beside the attractive free-form pool is a pleasure, with a choice of Balinese beds and sun beds dotted amongst the shady terraces. A large covered barbecue casita with shady dining area overlooking the pool provides the opportunity to cook as well as eat outdoors in this idyllic spot.

Inside interiors are light, airy and comfortably furnished with taste and attention to detail, offering modern convenience with attractive highlights of traditional Mallorcan stone, warm tones of wood and ornate tiles. 

On the ground floor, a well fitted modern kitchen with large island unit has everything needed for easy holiday catering alongside a roomy open plan living/dining area with wood burning stove, plenty of seating that overflows in to the hall area with further living space and patio doors leading to the main terrace, ensuring plenty of flexible options for large groups to spread out comfortably.

Four spacious bedrooms are also on the ground floor, two with en suite bathrooms and two conveniently placed adjacent to the family bathroom whilst for added dramatic (or romantic) effect, the principal bedroom is housed in the impressive turret accessed by its own external stone steps. A four poster bed relishes fabulous tree top views of the surrounding area with a decorative marble and mosaic tiled en suite bathroom – a prime spot for enjoying remarkable countryside views from your very own turret suite.
