"As spectacular as this lake house looks in the photos, it is somehow even better in person! We were a family group of 8 adults and 3 little ones. The house is immaculately clean, spacious, and thoughtfully furnished. The toddler play area was a huge bonus, with a great selection of safe, clean toys. We could easily all be in the kitchen for meal prep and family-style dining with gorgeous lake views; we also enjoyed many meals outdoors on the deck. The expansive lawn offers fabulous space for running and games, and the beachfront is navigable for all ages. Great location - Ausable Chasm right up the road, multiple hikes and bike rides nearby. Tim and Laura were courteous and responsive during the planning stage and right through our week-long visit. If we ever have the opportunity to return, we will! "

"This is a wonderful place with a gracious host. The large stone fireplace was appreciated on a couple of cold evenings. The sun porch with storm windows was one of our favorite places to read, chat, play games, and view the ever changing lake, sky, and trees. The kitchen is well equipped and also has beautiful views of the lake. All windows open to allow fresh air on warmer days. The house and furnishings are very charming.Jonathan was very responsive to any question or concern and made us feel welcome. We will come back. It is a treasure."

"Breathtaking setting and ample, free onsite parking. Outside chairs to sit and admire the sublime lakeshore view with provided breakfast pastry and coffee. Our room (Heathcote, Rm 6) was necessarily small and very cozy with a well-appointed private but across the hall bathroom and good shower. Staff contact was entirely online but all questions answered. Drive into historic Plattsburgh for a variety of great dinner options. Provided breakfast included fresh croissants and muffins. Would very definitely stay again."
