Beautiful renovations have been done to the area adjacent to the main building. The outdoor seating is welcoming and comfortable. I wish the hanging nest chairs were able to be positioned to face 360° instead of having to view the storage crate and unkept part of the parking lot. Other than that, it’s a time capsule and I mean that in the best way possible. The perfect alternative to stuffy modern hotels they lack originality, character, or charm. This place has it all.

Booked 2 nights but stayed for only 1. Not that it was a terrible experience, the bed was uncomfortable, staff didn't share much as far as service or amenities and whatnot other than the local pizza place was closed on Mondays. I'd stay again, though.

This is a cute place to stay, conveniently located not far from the highway and close to Indiana Dunes National Park. The area is wooded and pretty. The atmosphere is what I like best - and the sauna! We got a room with a jacuzzi and enjoyed our two stays here, a month apart. If we come through the area again, we'd stay here!

Nice atmosphere. Quiet area really makes you feel that you've gotten away. A little wear on some furnishings and trim but it actually added to the charm. Bed comfortable. View out the window nice. Outside seating areas would be great in warmer weather. Pizzeria Uno co-located with hotel. Speakeasy bar. Both nice. Live entertainment. Great pizza.

Gorgeous inn and wooded space. View from the room was breathtaking, even in March. Breakfast was underwhelming but even as a foodie, I don't care because everything else was perfect. As big Gilmore Girls fans, this is our Dragonfly Inn, and we loved it.

The inn has an old world charm. That also means NO ELEVATOR. If you have difficulty with stairs let them know ahead of time. Our bed was comfortable. The Wifi worked well. Breakfast looked ample, but we had other plans. The young man at checkin was cordial an efficient. I am recommending it to friends.
