The staff was so friendly across the entire stay. Everyone was fantastic! The room was clean and it was a lovely historical hotel, but the staff really went above and beyond. The only downside was that there were people outside that were on some elicit substances and there was a fight involving dogs while I was there with my two young daughters. It did make me feel rather unsafe. That is more location based, nothing against the staff or the hotel.

I’ll start by saying the staff was very accommodating. Unfortunately the rooms have declined in regards to the upkeep and condition. Stained furniture, carpets and upholstery. The wood veneer is chipped and broken. This hotel used to shimmer, but now it dims in comparison. I hope this hotel finds its way forward.

Room and bed were fine. Bathroom was a disaster. Shower was very small. Body wash dispenser was empty and shower head fell off the wall while using. When I notified front desk as we checked out they simply said they would contact maintenance. Not even am I’m sorry Will not go back or recommend

The first issue, no fault of the hotel themselves, however a significant inconvenience was the fact that the neighboring room had two individuals rehearsing for a Christmas play in which one was a ghost through the entire night. Their commitment to the arts was admirable. The second issue came when we realized the vent in the bathroom ceiling was leaking into the toilet, thankfully, the room change was quick and painless... Then came the aromatherapy brought to you by budget marijuana! We couldn't figure out if someone walked through the entire hotel blowing pot smoke under the doors as they went by or if they had figured out if you smoke directly by the vents it'll seem as if it's not you smoking... So. A win for them and a massive headache for anyone that doesn't love such aromatherapy. Oh, there was also a mysterious bloodstain on the comforter in the first room we stayed in... On the plus side, the breakfast in the restaurant was wonderful!

The double room had a lovely little living room, very elegantly appointed, and a separate room with two double beds. Very clean and comfortable. Old-fashioned elegance. The bathroom was spacious and had everything we needed. This hotel is in great proximity to lots of restaurants and shops. It is a two-minute walk from the Providence Performing Arts Center.

Beautiful old hotel which has been kept up and in great condition with free cookies. The basic room was huge with great pillows. Free Breakfast with made to order omelette and fresh fruit! Would stay here again in a heart beat. Plenty of restaurants you can walk to.
