Great for familes and groups

We had a very nice stay here. Nothing fancy but everything was clean, rooms spacious and kitchen was well equipped and the walk into city centre was about 10 mins.

Great sized hotel room. Stunning views from balcony. Handy location to town. Car park is a bit of a squeeze for larger cars and there is no direct lift from carpark to rooms on other side of lobby - have to navigate lobby stairs with suitcases. Hillary's was only open for breakfast and tables in bar are not suitable height if you have a plated evening meal. We would have dined in at night if dinner was served in Hillary's

The views of the lake as well as the convenience of being within walking distance (20mins) to the town centre was great. However, the property itself feels very old and the rooms are in need of renovation. Cleanliness was average and visibly no vacuuming had been done. In the weekend parking is first come, first served which is a bit of an inconvenience as this is peak time and always busy so no guarantee you can park on site (limited spaces). Likely not staying here again unless property gets an upgrade but appreciate you get what you pay for, especially being in ZQN and high tourist prices everywhere.

Quiet room despite being close to a main road. Short drive to down town. Indoor parking and clean place. Gym wasn't big but had a few machines to get a workout in. Laundry on site too, though we didn't use it.

Wouldn’t recommend

Old hotel, large room, nice bathroom. However, situated right next to the main road so it was quite noisy 24/7 - struggled to sleep the 2nd night. I did ask for another room but was told hotel is full. Worth mentioning that the guys in the reception doing the night shift just didn’t have any customer service skills - we went back to the hotel late at night and me and my partner both said “good evening and hello” but no response at all from them. Appalling service. I wouldn’t recommend, I would avoid if I were you. There any many hotels around the area which is probably at the same price but will have better service.
