Bed was very worn out and springs gone on one side. Felt like falling out all night. The breakfast is very expensive for what you get. The pool/spa/sauna was a great feature but pool/spa are quite dated.

Wonderful location, beautiful walk to town centre, and the views were spectacular. Did not use the dine-in, but the ambiance was wonderful with the fireplaces. Fantastic winter stay!

I stayed at this property because I was attended a conference that was held here, I wouldn't have normally stayed here even know I know it is really nice but because I thought it was to far from town... I went for my morning walk/run and was surprised that it did not take me long to get to town or the gardens at all. 10 out 10 will definitely stay again

The restaurant and its staff were excellent as was the food very highly recommend. Bed and rooms very comfortable. I skiid The Remarkables the bus picked up at hotel and dropped me back at end of day. Highly recommend this hotel

The hotel is ok, but clearly dated and often not convenient. For instance, arriving with 2 heavy suitcases, you need to make your way through heavy glass doors (yes, they don’t open automatically) and when you get to your section, you also need to make your way through tedious access doors. Not convenient for travellers at all. Another thing that I liked was the pool and spa area. The sauna was modern, although an outside shower for hygiene factors would be recommended, also accompanied with warning signs that you should always bring a towel to the sauna and take a shower after the sauna, before you go into the spa or the pool. Things I have unfortunately witnessed with other guests not doing properly.

I stayed for four nights. The room was spacious and the bed was large and comfortable, which I really appreciated. Although the facilities felt a bit dated, the housekeeping seemed excellent and kept everything very clean. However, I was uncomfortable with the amount of dust in the air conditioner — I didn’t want to turn it on, but had to because it was too cold. Even with the heater running all day, the room still felt chilly, which made me wonder if the heater was too small for the room size. It was also extremely dry at night, making it hard to sleep; a humidifier would be a helpful addition. The pool water was too cold to use, and the jacuzzi was quite small and overcrowded — everyone had to sit very close together, which felt a bit uncomfortable. Lastly, I was a bit disappointed that breakfast and parking weren’t included in the room rate.
