Online it looked so cute and different. They are adding new rooms, so right outside our window is a bunch of construction stuff. The sink is miniature as is the bathroom. It’s claustrophobic. Decor in the hotel is really neat and the restaurant was very good with lots of character. I give that 5 stars. I was very disappointed with the room. Glad it was just 1 night. Upgrade to a best room if you can. We had a standard which was all that was left when I booked it.

Cute atmosphere but very old. Not convenient in location. The bed was two twins pushed together. We could feel the gap. Bathroom is very small. Rooms are tiny. It’s a $60 taxi ride to the city. They do not let allow early check-ins.

I love the Viking Hotel. It's conveniently located outside of the city. There's plenty to see and it's safe to walk all around. I will stay there again if i return to Iceland.

We stayed here on the last night of our Iceland trip with six people in our group. It was nice because some of us stayed at the hotel - slept well before our flight home - and some went into Reykjavik for the last night. It was convenient to go into the city and there was a nice restaurant on property. Breakfast next morning was really good as well.

The room is a little tight for two people as there is only space for one person to sit down. Otherwise the room is nice, clean, with comfortable bed and nice view of the bay. The hotel has an affiliated restaurant next to it which serves great food.
