I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Opera in Riga. The location is perfectโ€”just steps from the Old Town and opposite the central train station, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a great view of the park. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help. Breakfast offered a good variety and was a great start to each day. Overall, a stylish and welcoming hotelโ€”Iโ€™d definitely stay here again!

Comfy room (superior double), although bathroom while in great condition could use modernisation and more thoughtful amenities (just single use soap bars and a combo shampoo/shower gel). Definitely not a bad 4* hotel and good value for money. But sure there are better 4* hotels in Riga.

The hotel is in a great locationโ€”just a 5-minute walk from the Old Town and with a direct connection to and from the airport. However, it is situated on a busy street, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. The room I stayed in could definitely use some refurbishment, as there were visible cracks on the walls and in the bathroom grout, a loose door frame, and marked skirting boards. That said, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. My interaction with the staff was limited to the reception, but they were friendly and welcoming. Note that the reception desk is not staffed at all timesโ€”youโ€™ll need to call if you require assistance. Breakfast was good, with a variety of options to choose from. Overall, my stay was pleasant, with no major issues.
