Great location, old and grubby rooms

I’ve stayed here for business a number of times over the last few years. The hotel is becoming very tired and dated. The facilities and location are good, which is why we tend to stay there (meeting space, outdoor bars/dining, easy access to the CBD) but the bedrooms are terrible. Not unclean per se, but old and grubby. The bathroom was not pleasant, and the furniture had seen better days. To make matters worse, on arrival there were coach-loads of tourists (possibly cruise) in the lobby and it took a long time to check in. I think if a hotel is being used for bulk bookings like this, perhaps they should warn other visitors. I’m not sure we will stay there again.

The property wasn’t up to Hilton standards. Check in and check out was really slow. The room smelled of sewage every time you flushed the toilet. Elevators were noisy. The buffet breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly.
