This hotel has no business staying open to customers while renovating the property at the extent that they are. It was a maze to access the 24th floor, having to take three separate elevators to make my way up. Breakfast was inaccessible. The Starbucks entry was closed and it took a magician to find a way to access Starbucks. This hotel should be closed until renovations are completed.

Good location

Convenient location. Hotel is under renovation and the registration location is a bid complicated, and you need to go through the restaurant who only opens in the morning to room elevators. Sheraton has no parking. I heard that the parking garage next to the Sheraton is not related each other.

The construction here was really frustrating. The lack of signage when they changed from one day to a next how to get out of the building or to your rooms. I understand that construction caused a change in route, But the lack of signage was unacceptable. Check-in took too long. Also they advertise a Starbucks but it's run by the hotel and the lines and offerings are not Starbucks quality. No water in rooms. Rooms were rundown. Shower was clogged. Not what I was looking for

NEEDS CLEANING

Going through a Remodel does not mean you should neglect the operating side of the hotel. It was VERY dirty in common areas. The room was “okay” but could have used more effort in vacuuming as I kept finding pretzels all over the room. Ugh! It is a Non-Smoking Hotel but they failed to enforce it. Halls smell like weed and cigarettes. On Check in day there was a French Fry on front door stairs, 4 days later same French fry had made it to the lobby. This place needs attention. Location: Very convenient near a variety of food places and transportation.

Stay Away - Under Construction!

If it were not for the construction I would assume this hotel is decent. I lived the in the NYC area most of my life and know the city well. PRO - location is good and at an E Line subway stop. CONS - Lots. The front entrance is closed and only one small side entrance is available for unloading with little curb length between the door and parking garage entrance. Check in personnel were nice, but the hotel is using a temp lobby on the lower level - the line to check in took over an hour. I was surprised by a $35.00 destination fee counted with a $35.00 voucher for drinks or food. The only problem was the restaurant was closed. We never found the bar - it seems the main lobby level was closed. $6.00 per bag to hold luggage for a few hours. I travel the word for work and regularly spend 300-400 at hotels. Pricing for NYC as fine, but provide the service of a normal hotel at least. I could go on, but I won't. Call the hotel ahead of staying. If the construction is still underway I suggest you select a different location.

Great Stay!

We had an amazing stay at the Sheraton NY Times Square. We visited the city with our teenage grandson. Even though the hotel lobby was under construction, the hotel staff was very helpful, kind and generous with their time. One staff member took the time to instruct us on how to navigate the subway to CitiField. From this hotel we were a short walk to Central Park.

I booked a “breakfast included” hotel through Expedia, trusting that the price shown covered my family. Nowhere during the booking process was it mentioned that children’s breakfast would be charged separately. This crucial detail only came to light at the hotel, leaving us with unexpected costs. Expedia should take full responsibility for ensuring all charges are clearly disclosed before payment — not buried or left for the customer to discover later. Such omissions feel deceptive and undermine trust in the platform. I expected better transparency from a global travel brand.

The reservation receptionist, Nichole, was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The subway was literally below the hotel making it easy to get around. Time square was a short walk with plenty of shopping and dining options all around. This was great for our first stay with my preteens in NYC. Can’t wait to go back.

Average Stay—Find Somewhere Else

This was a very average stay, which I was disappointed with considering the price I paid for a weekend stay. We arrived at 5:30pm on a Friday after a 1.5-hour flight delay and sitting through NYC traffic for an hour coming from JFK. When we arrived, there was a copious amount of construction going on, which was not evident online when we booked the stay. The check-in line stretched from wall to wall in the tiny area where they had constructed a make-shift reservation desk. We didn’t have time to wait because we had booked a 7pm show, so we checked our luggage and had dinner at the Lobby Bar (which also meant we couldn’t use our daily dining credit because we didn’t have a room number yet…). When I attempted to use the Marriott Bonvoy app to inquire about the check-in wait and when would be a better time to come back, the representative was minimally responsive and rarely said anything more than “sorry, I don’t work at the front desk, so I don’t know why there is a delay in checking in.” We ended up coming back AFTER the show at 10:30pm, and we STILL waited 30 minutes in line to get our room. They appeared severely understaffed. The bathroom left a lot to be desired. The grout and shower curtain had several noticeable stains. There were no towel bars to hang up towels (or have a place for a hand towel). The bottles of shampoo and conditioner were far too small considering we had two people in the room showering every night.
