In the basement

I feel a moral obligation to write this post. Do not rent here. I have traveled all over the US and the world for business and personal vacations. I used to live in San Diego, and know the area. The 1 star is for the location in North Park. It is walkable to restaurants and Balboa park. It ends there. It is not worth the luxury prices charged and pictures can be deceiving, This apartment is in the basement of a renovated 1928 home. Legally the host/Vrbo needed to disclose that but they did not before I paid in full for a month. Other issues: no matter what you hear everything that your neighbor upstairs is doing even if they are "quiet" I heard their conversation, kids running on the floors, the toilet etc. AC did not work well. The tub that "was renovated " was slippery whether it was wet or dry. I also had crickets. Luckily, I was refunded by VRBO not the host. At these rates you are better off in a nice apartment in La Jolla, Del Mar or downtown somewhere.
