Initially, the property appeared to be OK maybe a C in rating but after the first night the toilet flooded. I called front desk for maintenance and they brought me a plunger. I said OK so I plunged it. Everything was fine. The next day I went to the restroom, flushed the toilet and it flooded again. I go up to the front desk and tell someone and she said she’d let maintenance know they came figured it out clean the room. Everything was fine. The next day I went to the bathroom and it flooded again went back to the front desk. Let them know this guy said he’d send housekeeping. I told him I tried them already. Maintenance might be better. He said he’d get one or the other, I said fine came back plunged the toilet moved on the last day flooded again. $115 a night is too much money for me to have to plunge anything much less the toilet backing up every day. No one came to fix it several times find another spot or you’ll turn your vacation into hard labor.

Looking at ratings, I picked this place. Considering the Garden Hilton is rated 8.4, this place is no where near as nice. It is a small place surrounded by car lots. Some homeless sleeping very nearby. A large parking lot but in a bit so safe place. The room was clean but felt stuffy. I did not bring shampoo and conditioner as it was a short stay. No conditioner in the bathroom. No desperate small bottle, containers on the wall in the shower and hand soap in a container by the bathroom sink. I was disappointed at breakfast. Watery oatmeal, potatoes that didn't look cooked and steamed round egg patties and dry cereal in dispenser containers. I was disappointed that the rating was far higher than it should be. If I had known. I would have paid more money for a safer, nicer hotel.

There is lots of parking and it was free! Breakfast for free is another plus. Room is clean. Front desk attendant was not very awake or helpful but I got checked in quickly. Good for a work trip.

Comfortable and good location for a short stay

2 day stay. Beds comfortable. Very good location. Breakfast not the best. Pool very small if that’s what you want. Overall a good place to stay based on location and comfort.

We had friends staying at Mission Bay RV park and the location of this property made it very easy for us to get together. Easy access to Balboa Trolley station made going to Petco Park a breeze.
