The location is up on a hill and off of two busy streets. There is no designated dog relief area. No grass, even a patch of dirt. Just pavement. When I asked at reception where to take my dog, the response was, "Anywhere outside is fine". I've always picked La Quinta because of their pet friendly policy, but this was very disappointing. All in all, our stay was comfortable. Room was clean and staff was friendly.

The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortably. IIr is conveniently located to go to different local attractions. It's a small hotel, so there are not gardens or walking grounds.

My Wife and I arrived early to our hotel room, hoping to check in early. Our room was not ready so we decided to explore mission Bay for a while until the appropriate check in time came as soon as we came back for a required check in time we had to wait another 45 minutes for the room to be cleaned. The person that was checking us in stated, saying that they were very busy that day, but by observation of the property, my wife and I only saw a few cars parked at the hotel. Also the website through Expedia stated that the hotel allowed pets for free upon arrival we were asked to pay a $25 pet fee. Besides those things we enjoyed our stay and the staff were very apologetic and nice to my wife and I.

The area where the hotel appeared sketchy being that I was traveling alone but once I was in the actual building it was safe. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was very clean.
