The property is charming. The restaurant and rooftop bar are both very nice, and the burgers are amazing. The elevator adds to the overall charm of the hotel but after awhile it becomes a bit inconvenient. Most rooms seem to be generally quite small. There's just enough room for the bed. Lastly, I find $65 for valet parking extremely expensive. I understand that cities typically charge higher prices due to limited space but it just feels like too much. Overall, however, the hotel was in a good location to be near the bars and nightlife, and it did the job for a couple nights a reasonable nightly rate.

The hotel elevator was very bad. It was the original elevator and took forever to come. Also dangerous for kids ( you have to hold the metallic gate or otherwise would cut your fingers. Keep in mind that is not easy to maneuver with a stroller, because you need both hands to enter into the elevator. Service was mediocre. We complained a couple of times because our AC wouldn’t work properly, and we did not get a resolution. Some worker would come reset the AC, but after a few hours would stop working again. Room was extremely small. Halls look dusty. I do not recommend this property at all.

Elevator needs major improvements

The Hotel had cool French feel to it very cute when you walk in. The rooms are surprisingly small the pictures didn't make them seem that way. The elevator is awful and needs to be upgraded. It is dingy, x-small, with no ventilation or sound and the door is a black accordion style gate opening very clunky. It moves extremely slow and doesn't stay open when you exit you have to hold it so don't let it wack you on the way out. It also is the same one the housekeeping staff have to use so if they are in it with the cart 2 more people wont fit. the staff was nice and the rooftop was the best part of this hotel. We only stayed one night thankfully.

Understaffed.

Hotel was understaffed. Housekeeping didn't service our room. Housekeeper was complaining to guests in the elevator that someone just quit and she had to work a 16hrs shift. Using the valet and bell service made us feel like we were a huge inconvenience. When calling the front desk from the room for the valet, receptionist never answered the phone. Luggage cart never arrived after asking 3 times. At the rooftop bar - we ordered a sparking water, the waiter just came with the bottle and card machine for payment. We had to ask for a glass, ice never came. The bottle was warm. Overall a lack of training and short staffed all around. The bed is SUPER comfortable, the hotel is a gem, french bistro downstairs was lovely - but also under staffed. We had a much better experience at the Pali Hotel in LA.

Everything was great here, except that many rooms here (mine included) only have windows viewing into a very small, narrow "light shaft" courtyard. On the plus side, it does keep the general city noise to a minimum.

Over all the property is very nice. However, the rooms are small and the street noise, especially Thurs-Sat is significant. Other considerations are the Valet service which will run you an extra $65 US per night and sometimes takes up to 35 mins to get your car. If you’re picking on aesthetics alone it will give you that. The rooftop bar is especially good. Overall a good stay.

Incredibly beautiful hotel, great staff and amazing drinks at the bar! We used our complimentary drink ticket and it was a beautiful space, and then headed upstairs on the rooftop for the awesome view and it was super comfortable.
