In town for a conference and switched up the last couple of days to explore downtown. The Beau staff was absolutely amazing; they treated everyone with care and made us feel like they were real happy we were there. The well appointed bar and restaurant with more great staff also recommended. The atmosphere feels like a step back in time with all of the amenities of today. The rooms are very clean and cozy which is all you need if you plan to explore San Diego. If we visit again we will stay at The Beau!

The hotel looks nice and the guy on reception on day one was friendly and helpful, so I thought I’d have a nice stay, but I found it too noisy. The room I was allocated was on the first floor and facing the street. I asked to change rooms cos I thought it might be too noisy. With the next room it was quiet until a noisy machine kicked in all night outside the window. I didn’t know if it’s a generator as it was a different sound to the aircon, which was also loud. On my last night some guests were loud til 3am. They were riding the trolley down the hallway and shouting, etc, and other people were loud. Some guys kept me awake til 3am so I accidentally left my passport on the plane cos I was so tired. I probably wouldn’t choose this hotel again as I didn’t sleep well. On checkout I wasn’t asked if I had a nice stay so I didn’t mention it.

Room is very clean, staff are friendly, corridor are unusally large and bright, making one feel lightened. Free starbucks coffee most of the time in the corridor are nice. Great quality to price ratio. Will stay here again!
