Great location and easy rentals

The Boardwalk is a fantastic spot to stay on Mission Bay - close to the bay, the ocean, the downtown area of Pacific Beach, and the theme park. It's a nice blend of the perks of an Airbnb (full kitchen and dining area) while still having front desk staff around for questions. Over the course of a few days, we borrowed beach chairs, SUPs, and bikes from Cheap Rentals around the corner. The rental process is easy and they'll even hold your luggage after you check out. The beach and the bay are only a block away in opposite directions and the bike trail around the bay is right behind the hotel. One recommendation for travelers - use this outdoor shower shown in the photo to rinse off sand before entering the room. They clean every other day, so you don't want sand everywhere.
