Best deal in town for pet friendly

We have 2 large dogs and we love Sage! There is a dog park (not fenced) at the back of the property, the floors are vinyl planks for easy cleaning. Free breakfast that is great all for under $100 a night. Located near Whole Foods and other parks and the railyard. We walk to dinner and the room is quiet. It’s kind of small and old but we would still stay here if we have our dogs. Love it.

Super impressed

From booking to checking in and checking out, I was super impressed. The staff was so friendly and helpful. There was a live band that evening- the food and drinks were great and music was great. Can’t really say anything bad about the hotel- bathroom was older but most of the hotels in New Mexico are old. We will be stay here again.

The rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable. Don't close the kitchen until 10am! I was looking forward to hot oatmeal, but was gone at 9:30! Other options were ok, bagels and cream cheese.

Close walking to several good restaurants. Outdoor entrances which I love. Pet friendly, outdoor spaces our kept clean, lots of parking, staff is friendly and beds comfortable. Nice breakfast too!

Not exactly a hotel.

If you are looking for a hotel experience, this is not it. The Sage Hotel is not a hotel. It markets itself as a "hotel concept" but it's actually a motor lodge which would have been fine if that's what I thought I was booking. While the room was clean I don't really feel the photos were an accurate representation. The check-in experience was overwhelming because not only was the live band in the Social restaurant was so very loud and jarring after my long drive, there was no one at the front desk when I arrived. Another guest motioned to the kiosks for self checkin which I started to try to figure out when a desk agent surfaced. I asked him if he could just check me in and he agreed though it was so very hard to hear him over the drums and party people. I will say the Social staff was very courteous. I'd say overall the customer service experience was just really lacking - I was only provided coffee for a one nights stay and when I called around 9am on Sunday morning to request more the girl at the first desk said there was no one available to bring it and she could not leave her desk. Which was slightly confusing with the self-check in features. I guess I would have appreciated knowing what type of experience this "hotel concept" provided because had it been more accurate I would have either paid less and stayed at a motor lodge, or paid more for the hotel experience I was really looking for during my first trip to Santa Fe.

We’ve stayed here a few times before. We bring our dog. Didn’t like: floor wasn’t clean - had to do a quick mop; our room had connecting door, so could here our neighbors on Saturday; we had end room, with cleaning room next to us and stairway; unable to use room card to re-enter rear gate after walking our dog. We like the location, price/value, nice park behind hotel for our dog, nice breakfast.
